I'm not one for stats as a yard-stick of a game, but I think 50-50 posession and no shots-on-target each says it all.
We murdered them at corners mind..

edit - Hm. No attempts on target but BBC text reporting of saves by both goalkeepers. Mysterious.
The BBC stats are always wrong. It's not uncommon for them to record less shots on goal than actual goals.

The commentary last night made great play of the amount of injuries at United, suggesting terrible luck. We knew before the season started that we were paper thin at the back, we're now just reaping what we sowed.
To be fair, we started with three centre-backs and four full-backs, one of whom also plays centre-back.
Plus, we had one out long-term.
We've since brought in another centre-back.
It's hardly paper thin for a non-OF SPl team, is it?

I think we actually had eight defenders on the books at the end of August. Two of those already had long term injuries (Dods and Kova), one had just recovered from being out for three years (Watson) and one had spent most of his career injured (Severin). The only real surprise is that it's taken so long for the problem to be exposed.

Sounded like a stinker of a match, still it stops the rot of recent defeats at least...

Good to hear that Scott Robertson has impressed in the last couple of matches, with Gomis and Buaben? on their way at the end of the season it's important for the long term prospects of the club that he gets back to the form he showed prior to his long term injury.

The defence was the least of my worries last night. It's really only central defence that's issue, we're fine full back, and the current pairing will do for now. Not ideal, but not terrible.

Was the rest of the team that was a worry.

Fair enough, Watson was perhaps an unwise player to rely on, but I'm fairly sure both Dods and Severin were both still playing in October.
