And their media didn't try to expose the bribery, allowing their country to play the game.
By "play the game" you mean procuring hookers, cocaine and envelopes stuffed with nonsequential dollar bills to shovel without any sense of decency or restraint in the direction of Jabba Blatter and his cartel of porcine suits?

Yeah. Damn those media.
Yeah! Hookers we can do better, cocaine may go to Qatar, but I'm sure the Mint could fire out a couple of hundred million more, whats the harm, it's worth nothing anyhow!

I like Jack Warner's bit here:

"I have been in Fifa for 29 years and this will astound many, I'm sure - including people like David Dein [international president of England 2018 bid] and Geoff Thompson [head of England's 2018 bid]"

...but not anyone who has ever read anything printed about you, Jack, you grasping old arsegrape.

Triesman basically admits he wouldn't have complained if England's bid had won though. Not a lot better as far as moral high ground goes is it?

Rearrange these words: crooks a of shower.

On C4 news last night, they seemed to get more excited about spanish doping allegations than the bribes. Didn't see much about it elsewhere though.

A mate of mine's a used to be a pro (ish) cyclist, and has a big interest in cycling. After all the doping stuff came out during the Tour de France, a chief Spanish doctor was investigated, and loads of Spanish athletes were mentioned as having been clients of his. Some of the names were released, but apparently the majority of his clients remained secret. There are suggests that the doping spread to tennis, football etc.

*Not at all*. I just implied that a mate of mine has inferred that Nadal's a drug cheat. Me, I just think he's a natural beefcake who trains very hard. :piper:

Edit: *Maybe/Kind of*

Blatter under pressure?

Always fun when people start fighting over who's the most corrupt or who knew of what.

Great to see. Blatter's a nutter, anyway. He really thought that no-one would be dubious about the timing?

Seems not.

I think Fifa is strong enough that we can deal with our problems inside Fifa.

Wonder if there's any chance the Qatar bid will be overturned? It looks even more rediculous now than after the decision.
