Not surpised to see Rooney leave / be forced out if it does happen. One thing I've always liked about Ferguson is he's been happy to move players on well before many fans or others would want to see them go. Good for team, good for finances too. But I do think Man U have deteriorated recently. Too many players not performing, and too much reliance on players who should be taking it easy (Giggs, Scholes etc). Not a good sign when you need a 35 year old in midfield to make things happen. Just seems like an excuse for Rooney though. He's messed too much up. Anyone think he's struggle at Madrid or somewhere else overseas? Man City doesn't seem like a good move... |

Under-estimate Ferguson and United at your peril. |

I remember Ferguson throwing a mini-wobbly a year or so ago when I think it was Beckenbauer suggested than Man U weren't the trampling machine that they used to be. It was a completely fair observation (United were scraping 1-0 1-0 1-0 at the time) and it still holds. That they're still able to compete at the top level shows just how good they were 3/4 years ago and the years previous. |

They've not looked good for a couple of years, but have still ground out results somehow. The number of points they accumulated last season was incredible considering the fragmented way they played. Rooney should move abroad. Somewhere where boffing prozzers isn't newsworthy. It'll make or break him, but he does seem to have burnt a few bridges in the UK. If he was cool, he'd play out his contract then go wherever the f*ck he likes, not for money. Maybe even back to Everton. Then live as he likes, not a hostage to any huge transfer fee someone paid for him. But he's so not cool. Obviously, that's what I'd do, being cool 'n'all. |

So he's just signed a five-year deal to stay at Man U. I've seen the press played as stooges in deal negotiations before, but never quite so elegantly. Well done to all concerned. |

Um, so he'll be sold in the summer now for a higher value then.... Maybe his wife told him to sign it. |

He's not that good. Real don't need him and only one other club could afford what Man United would want. But because it's City, Man United would want double or triple normal asking price. She took him back, again? He does like his prostitutes, all right. |

 I do find the British attitude to prostitution hilarious and hypocritical, if not totally blinkered. Legalize, ffs. |

I think its one to do with morals and am right behind it! If you fancy a shag and you can't even get yourself to a presentable enough level to pull a stocious slag in the dancing then you're pathetic. ETA (what does that stand for? Extra Time Analysis?): Prostitutes are however probably more desirable to footballers under the naive assumption that they will just accept cash and keep quiet about it, which is frequently not the case |

I wondered this too, but just before I posted the same question on the forum, someone sent me a link to this web page which was really helpful in answering questions like this. Try it yourself and let me know if it helped. |
