Who believes this mutual consent stuff? Yesterday he's on the BBC saying he's the man for Hubs and he's not concerned over losing his job. Today he's off by mutual consent. How fickle. Anyway, I think it's a bit harsh to employ a guy which such obviously limited brain power and then complain when it turns out he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. |

![]() Bit of a weird one overall, seems the board think he's not doing as well as he should be doing given his playing staff...? |

It was amusing that he lasted as long as he did. Hopefully they get in someone equally as limited. Michael O'Neill always gets mentioned whenever a job comes up in Scotland - and the Hibees love to appoint an ex-player. Give Jim Duffy a chance, I say. |

I didn't ever think he'd be managing in the premiership anytime soon, but I think he's a decent enough SPL manager. Main problem is when he keeps talking about playing the right type of football, which seemed to get him the job in the first place. I hope they get Calderwood and regret this in a few months. |

He seems like a nice guy but a bit of a Selwyn Froggit when it comes to management. He is still young though and more experience lower down the divisions will do him no harm. |

I am a bit disappointed because I looked at the table on Saturday night and thought, hmmm, St Mirren and Hamilton I would expect to pick up a wee bit, leaving Yogi and Hibs deep in the shit. They would have the best ground the first division is ever likely to see though. |

How mutual consent works: Chairman: "I think you should leave". Manager: "Er...OK then..." Not a huge shock. Yogi's been a dead man walking for some time. Interestingly, it appears that Michael O'Neill is one of the early favourites. |

Why did they every think he was going to be any good when they appointed him just after he almost (or actually?) got Falkirk relegated? Hibs fans are bizarre when it comes to managers - I remember the vitriol and calling for Blobby Williamson's head after a few poor results, but after a similar string of games, they were calling for Sauzee to be given more time and calling him a legend.....

Aside from his increasingly baffling explanation for the fact his team are hoachin' (his post match interview on Saturday was both amazing and migraine inducing), what I did find strange was the number of managers and pundits (step forward you Pric Young and McInnes on Sportscene) all saying that his record spoke for itself and he was clearly a good manager. Having looked at his record, its pish. Nothing with Falkirk and now nothing with Hibs. His record certainly does speaks for itself. Are there any ex-Hibees for them to wheel out? Pat McGinley? Jo Tortolano? |

I think he was more than decent with Falkirk for a couple of years, and got them in a cup final at least. Not the easiest team either since they are relatively small with limited budgets. It did go wrong there though badly. If he's have moved on sooner, would have been better for his record. |

I take the point about the relative succes, although his league form was never that special. I just thought it was interesting that the media made out as though he was achieving great things, when the truth was a little more underwhelming. |
