After last nights quite awesome comeback by Preston against the twattish Leeds ( 4-1 away from home to turn that scoreline into a 6-5 victory is quite some accomplishment).

Got me wondering what peoples favourite Dundee United comeback could possibly be....?

St Johnstone 2 United 3, May 2001.

I remember trying to join the dots on what they laughingly called the scoreboard to figure out if it really was telling us that St Mirren were beating Aberdeen 2-1 and we really were heading for relegation and the First Division at an unseemingly pace.

Same here. Great game.

Even better going to school on the Monday morning afterwards.

Same for me, but only because it's the only decent comeback I can remember attending.

And even then, we were completely dire for 70 mins and if Hartley hadn't got sent off we'd have gone down.

That whole season was dreadful, and I went to more games that season than ever before or since. Or will ever again.

Bingo.

9/10 years old or so, I listened to the horrible reception on a decrepit clock radio in my bedroom, jumping around like a loony when the third miraculously went in :banjmp: :banjmp: :banjmp:

What? Not 3-1 v Hearts in 86/87? Well, at least I should mention it, given the context. The semi that season v the Dee must be worthy of a mention too. Incidentally, looking down the wiki for that year shows that it was Alan Main's first season for us. That's a long career that, as he's still playing!

Though any win at Ibrox is a good win of course. We had a good load of comebacks that year, eh? Forfar in the cup too, famously!

Was that Fergie's penalty with the last touch of the ball to equalize? Remember that day well.

Ah, the Hearts game. I watched it again at the weekend. What a match. But coming back at home one nil down against Hearts doesn't have the resonance of getting two back away to the Hun, even if the former was a much better match, and had more memorable goals.

My brother and I watched the semi against Dundee as well. Another top match.

Forfar was a horror. Going from sneaking a draw at home to Forfar to winning convincingly in Barcelona! :banshk:

Where did you watch it? Youtube-wise, there used to be full highlights, but now there's only one take of the magnificant Bannon goal, the Fergie goal, and no Luggy goal. All damn excellent goals in their own way, by the way.

Arabzone has loads of games: Hearts 3-1, Rangers 3-2, Celtic 3-2, Forfar 2-2. Also the away match in Bremen that was 1-1. Recently put up were the two Barca matches.

I've got a fair few on video tape, but need to get them converted.

I remember going to the Clydebank game at Tanadice after the Barca away win. Now that was a terrible game of football.

A terrible Dave Narey backpass led to their goal, I believe, that put them 1-0 up. <_<
