Ross Smith was at Peterhead- at least for a while. I wasn't sure if he was playing for them regular because he isn't listed on their website as part of the playing squad. However he played in their 3-0 away win over Stranraer on Saturday...so that's alright then. Edited by TheDean, Apr 23 2012, 07:57 PM.

Eck McLeish's brother telt me today that Eck has been askin about 3 Utd players. The 3 yins that are up for the player of the season award. Eck will be up sniffin aboot, nae doubt. I don't give a shite, I reckon only one of them will leave at the end of the season. And if Utd get a tidy sum for whoever it is, Utd should swoop for Skacel, on the promise that his wages would be paid on time. Would be lethal up front wi Daly for those Champions League games coming up in a few months. As far a loan signings go it was a pity it didnae work out wi Milos after his injury, but some shrewd dealings could also see some other loan signings in the bag, with a view to signing them permanently if they impress, no problem for a rich club like Utd. theres been some good scouting going on in the lower leagues in recent times. it remains to be seen who the latest tangerine gem to be plucked fae the SFL will be. |

Since we have a fair number of young players out on loan, it seems sensible to bump this thread. So, currently on loan are...
I'll endeavour to keep us up to speed with their travails starting soon-ish. Other peeps should feel free to chip in if they wish. [/hint] |

Thanks reekie- useful reminders. I couldn't find where Smith had gone- was he playing in the match at Skeletor Castle (For Sale of Rent) recently ? Might be worthwhile also keeping track of recent Alumni given what's happened to Gomis recently- Scott Allan has disappeared off the Birmingham bench and seems to spend all his time watching footie on telly. Justle was used as a time waster by Schteve McLaren on Tuesday. Where Bauben is god knows- Conway out of favour at Cardiff and Goodwillie- now where is he again?

It's really sad what has happened to the 2010 side: Pernis is in Poland I think, Dicker is injured in Huddersfield, Webster at Coventry, Gomis and bauben nowhere, Conway on loan at Brighton. Is Davie Robertson in contract at St Johnstone? I think Swanson still gets some regular football at Peterborough. |

A mixed bag of a result at Station Park as Forfar just failed to go nap against a Dunfermline side including Luke Johnstone and Jordan Moore. On the plus side, Dale Hilson completed 90 minutes, bagging a goal, an assist and a yellow card. Luke Johnstone won't have enjoyed his 90 minutes as much, nor will Jordan Moore have enjoyed his ten minute cameo, I suspect. Ryan Ferguson remained on the bench. Again. Ross Smith played the full match as Stenhousmuir drew 1-1 at home against East Fife. Meanwhile, over in Airdrie, Brechin were beaten 3-1 by the home side, with Aidan Connolly replacing Donnelly. |

Mark Millar's loan prompted me to bump this but, other than Dale Hilson and Ross Smith, they all seem to have disappeared from view. Are the loan periods up already? Smith and Hilson both played the full match as Stenny and Forfar played out a 1-1 draw, with Dale grabbing the Loons goal. Neither were booked. |

Oh aye, no updates since Oct 2013, like we've had no loans out there since then. Today - Ali Coote scores on his debut for East Fife. Good for him to spend time in Methil so that he appreciates the benefits of being a United player. |

Apart from scoring No6 can't think of anything of note he's done. Out on loan might be the best thing for him. |

Out altogether might be the best thing for him. Can't believe we paid actual money, and to those Ibroxers in particular, for him. |

We pay 205k for the laddie then hardly give a him a start. Then we loan him out. Seems the way of the Club ATM. No wonder we're in such a phuckin mess. |

He's had 21 starts since he came, and 12 from the bench according to the Courier. I would say that's enough to see that he's not first team material right now. You could count his good performances on one hand during that time, I'd suggest. A loan spell at a lower level would seem ideal to me...he's a luxury player at present and we can hardly afford those right now. If he does well there it may give him the confidence and toughness to improve his game back here next season. |

Yes, that's sound? He was probs too good to languish in the Dev. Squad. Two goals v Well and after a promising start in a team that was performing reasonably well, he fell away when we struggled and didn't look good enough playing behind one striker. Livi should make him work- hope they do. |
