Just to add to the discussion about United's players out on loan....

I thought Chasing Amy was great - one of my favourite films.
Mallrats, decent.
Clerks was excellent, but that has been covered.
J&SBSB is very good for chuckling along to when you're high...
Jersey Girl, shite.
Zack and Miri Make a Porno - totally forgettable.  I watched it once and that is all I remember.
Clerks 2, a couple of funny jokes, but nothing to write home about.

In summary, I make that approximately 2.5 films.

Can I see your working? And you missed out Dogma

f*ck.

Then maybe 3 films.

Chasing Amy 0.8
Mallrats 0.5
Clerks 0.8
J&SBSB 0.4?
Jersey Girl -0.2
Z&M -0.1?
Clerks 2 maybe 0.2
Jennison Myrie Williams 2.5
Erik Pedersen 9.0

That seems about right, if I recall...

Oh, and Dogma 0.5/6

So, with Ryan McCord and Scott Allan back at the club/in the cells, it was left to Ross McCord to fly the loanee flag this week.
Unfortunately, Montrose's five-game unbeaten run ended as they went down 2-0 at home to Albion Rovers. They managed to hit a post from one of Ross's corners but that was as close as they came.
Hey-ho, another 90 minutes will do him no harm at all.

No I wasn't there Ivan. I saw him in the Oban tournament this summer and he was one of the stars of the show. He reinded me so much of Andy McLaren. He plays with a real joie de vivre, uninhibited and energetic. He can bring width but is also direct when he spies a channel into the box to hit. The sort of layer that gets defenders back peddling and falling on their arses. I just hope he fulfils his potential and does not have a dark side that can sometimes blight this sort of player. McLaren, Ralphie and I suppose Goodie too to a degree.

Given that this post was about Scott Allan, you scare me with your ability to see into the future, Yaz, based on what allegedly went on this week.

It gives me absolutely no satisfaction to see my fears realised. I just hope that it has happened young enough for him to be reined in and save his career before he ruins it.

So, the only thing of note that McCord jr. managed this week was getting booked.
As Montrose got humped 4-0 by Arbroath!
Yaassss!

I seems a strage time to get the other McCord back at the club, since he's not likely to get a game for us at the moment.

I don't know. The squad's pretty thin right now. Stuart Armstong's had a couple of chances this week. After today's performance I'd imagine the McCord's are both ready to at least challenge from the bench.

The thinness was why I thought that might have been an option after apparently good loan spell.

I can see him being skipped for Armstong though. Although Rangers / Celtic games aren't the best for anyone being introduced.

Was also expecting D Robertson to come on for S Robertson, so Armstrong must be doing something right.

He looked to have good energy, a good physique and a good touch. He didn't look ready for first team football however, IMO.

Maybe. I think it was the lack of ability to impose himself, but that'll hopefully come. Then again, Robertson's still never managed that....

Think he's in the scotland U21 squad too despite being 18, so must have done well for the U19's or something.

That sounds awfy good as far as it goes. What made you think he wasn't ready for the first team?

He barely touched the ball in the second half. In fact he may not have touched the ball at all second half, but I couldn't swear to that,
