You guys have got a funny definition of being pish.

Out of interest, and since we're being definite in our statements, are there any players currently or over the last 12 months who you would say have been pish for a prolonged period of time?

Players from the team which finished third in the league and won the Scottish Cup? No.

Players on the fringes of the squad who were unable to force their way into the team on a regular basis? Probably SJP and Shala. Kevin Smith was disappointing, but hardly played at all. I'd probably concede that Shala hasn't had enough time for a definitive judgement but I'd say that what little we've seen he's been pish.

Some players have had some dips in form, Dillon, Dixon, Kenneth, Scott Robertson and Gomis notably, but I wouldn't say any have been pish and certainly not over a sustained period.

I'll take 'pish' and 3rd and SC winners any day of the week.

Amazed Daly's name hasn't popped up yet, over on EFF they have a whole 18-page hate thread dedicated to him that make our old Easton threads look like a censored episode of The Wombles.

I don't understand the hatred Daly gets. Granted, he ain't David Villa and he hasn't been brilliant this season, but only three people scored more SPL goals than him last season and he didn't play until November. How soon we forget.

I don't believe there is a single pich player in the United squad at the moment and hat espcially applies to Daly and Conway. I think our classiest player on his day, which is quite often actually, is Sean Dillon. Howja like them apples? :smack:

Hmmmm. I do like apples but I'm not convinced. Classier than the Prince, Swanson or Scott Robertson on form?

Class is not all about skill Ivan. Scotty R is classy on his day too. I just think that Dillon has something about him especially his vision and precision with the through ball.

He's a very underrated player for sure, although I wouldn't go as far as to say he was our classiest player.

It wasn't a reference to skill so much as effortless control. It's a hard criteria to judge, and probably impossible to qualify absolutely, but 'class' to me is where a player rises above the melee to display a degree of control that distinguishes him from his peers. Dillon certainly displays that as a full back but not to the extent of some others, I'd suggest.

He's certainly a classy defender, on his day.

I think it's been mentioned many times on The Arabian/My Shirona/My Arabian/It's mine, mine mine and you're not getting it, that nobody here has directed verbal abuse at Craig Conway.
There are a lot of you on here who can't bring yourself to say anything bad about any of our Beloved United's players, unless it is posthumous.
Craig Conway was pish for a decent chunk of last season, and the season before that. Then he puts the work in and is a great player to watch. Such is the nature of Craig Conway. I don't agree with people berating him at games because that can only ever have a negative outcome, but the statement that he was pish for sizeable amounts of time isn't incorrect.

I love Jon Daly. The way he held the ball up against Barcelona a couple of years ago on one of his first games back from injury won me over, and I've loved him ever since.

Or you, yaz and your Panglossian kind aren't not full of excreta.

The idea that we don't have any players who have not gone through bad patches is quite ridiculous.

It was the goal against Celtic on his comeback that did it for me.
