2-2. A point away...

Goodie double, since he seems unwilling to pass to anyone else once in the final third.

Would you pass if you were playing alongside Jon Daly or Andis Shala?

I would if he were completely unmarked, 18 yards from an open goal, yes.
I've said it somewhere else, look at Naismith's pass for the Gers third goal.
That's what to do in that situation.

Would you pass if you were playing alongside Jon Daly or Andis Shala? I say go on yourself, Goodie.

Daly has scored us plenty in the last 12 months, I'm not quite sure whether the criticism of him that has built up in the last few weeks is entirely warrented.

That easy chance could have been just the thing to get his confidence back.

As it is, his strike partner refused to lay it on a plate for him because he thought he'd f*ck it up.

Let's be honest, Goodie had no idea there was anyone else there.
I admire his single-mindedness sometimes but it also has it's drawbacks.

There is indeed a time for being greedy and a time for playing the pass, and it's not always apparent in the short time you have to make the decision. It seems to come with experience.

Would Goodie still be with us if he could actually spot the pass as the better option?

All very admirable sentiments gents but I very much doubt that Goodie's approach will ever change and I think he'll be the better player for it.

Sorry, I was at the game and I must have missed the open goal opportunity.

Is this the incident towards the end of the game when Goodie was breaking free and had Shala to his left (referred to as Daly by the BBC commentator on the highlights)? The one where Goodie beat his man and was unluckly not to score himself? Watching it in real time, I think he made exactly the right decision.

Now that Conways back i think we might win with Conway scoring the first goal, a free kick from just outside the box. If i was a betting man it would be Conway for first goal.

Not a bad shout!

If your prediction comes true, storm into your nearest bookie with a printout of this thread, they're sure to pay out. Or call the boabies.

Come on now, the lot of you. Jon Daly is the absolute last person you'd want to pass to for a one on one if you were storming up the pitch, I'd rather lay it off to Garry Kenneth.

I've lost my sense of optimism about this game. No Conway or Swanson again - our luck can't hold the way we've been picking up results recently without playing well.

3-1 Killie.

I expect a relatively comfortable win. We've not been firing on all cylinders in the last two games but were still comfortably better than the opposition. We'll likely stick with the 5-3-2 which worked quite well last weekend and suits the available personnel.

2-0 United. One apiece for Goodie and Daly.
