Should be a rather brutal game. Hopefully we can scrape a result. Killie away to Partick have a decent chance of getting something out of their game.

Next season, I'll enjoy not playing Celtic, Rangers and Motherwell. But I think I'll enjoy not playing St Johnstone most of all.

Kawashima
Durnan Morris Donaldson
Dillon Paton Demel Rankin
Dow
McKay Ofere

Score draw.

Given Dillon's lack of any attacking ability, would rather a 10% Spittal than Dillon as wing back.

The thought that next Christmas when I come up the road for a game it will not be at McDermid, is quite an exciting one.

Which is your prerogative. Personally, I'd not want to set out the predictable team against a manager who's sussed us tactically in each of our previous dozen meetings.

We'll be playing kick and run. Dillon can kick, and he can run. If with the kicking and the running we manage to brute-force the ball into the net within the first 60 minutes, Spittal can come on and try some of his fancy-dancy "passing".

Except Dillon can't kick well. If we're going to play long ball, better to have someone who can punt the ball forward without it going over the stand, which is where a lot of Dillons passed forward end up.

And he can't run well either, because he can never cross the half way line, or if he does not at the right time.

Spittal can still play long ball kick and run better than Dillon. And as an added bonus, we might trick them into thinking we're going to try to pass the ball.

Ah how quickly we forget his mazy one-two-dribble goal versus Kiliie, or his 40 yarder earlier in the season. He's scored more than any other of our defenders this season hasn't he? (i.e. those 2)

Dillon's two goals make him our third-top scorer this season. He's equal with Robbie Muirhead and Simon Murray. Spittal's second top, with five.

(Related: it'll be hilarious if we're not relegated after being this shit. Absolutely hilarious.)

Was that the slightly lucky once in a career dribble?

He's not a good attacker, even if he's scored a few goals for us in his 9 years with us. Every wing he plays on, we don't get forward well on, given the very rare exception.

We'ren't we all for playing the youngsters a few weeks ago? Rather than the guy who's on the way out?

They've struggled against Partick Thistle this season. Do Thistle try to play football? I think they do.

... And Thistle are about the only team to have struggled against us. So if we're better at hoofball than Thistle are at football, and Thistle are better at football than St Johnstone are at hoofball, then United must be better at hoofball than St Johnstone are at hoofball. Simple, really.

Hoofball it is then.

Kawashima
Donaldson Morris Gunning

I've just noticed how much fun it is to say Knoyle. Knoyle Knoyle Knoyle Knoyle Knoyle Knoyle.
