we haven't an earthly
Maybe not but its generating excitement isn't it?

We are officially pish btw
We are pish, but fortunately the teams just above us aren't much different. We have the extra disadvantage of starting well behind (as it stands now that is).

Our chances of saving ourselves from the drop are still slim, they've just improved from 5% to about 15% over the last month. I'd expect Killie to have a good chance of picking up another 3 wins or so from their last 7, so we'd need 6 wins from our last 8. It's still not very likely.

And yet...
Seems a rather optimistic prediction for Killie to win 3 out of 7, considering they have only won one game in the last two months. Granted teams with something to play for have that in their favour against teams already safe, but it's also very tough to drag yourself out of a bad run, like Killie are on. Meanwhile Hamilton have only had 2 wins since November and they can't be ruled out yet either.

I'm pretty discouraged if I'm honest. Agree with the point about barring the last minute goals we could have been 9 adrift instead of 7, but we don't look good enough to claw the deficit back. We were in a winning position against Motherwell and were outplayed in the second half, while in that match there it looked as bleak as until the sending off. We certainly didn't look capable of getting back into the match 11 v 11.

If we are abandoning playing any kind of football altogether, I'd get Ofere in the team. He caused them no end of problems, he'll win high balls, be a nuisance and then if we're looking at putting the ball into the box at any opportunity, whether that's a corner, throw in or any free kick in the opposition half, he's someone that can cause enough disruption to create a chance. Can't say I'm a fan of playing that way, but if that's what we're doing then he maximises the chance of that tactic working. And McKay would be my choice to go with him, the more he has to feed off the more effective he is. Get the ball into the right areas enough and McKay produces the goods.

I didn't see the game either, just saw the score, and it seems like a missed opportunity but not the end of the world.
