Bloody hell. This season really has sucked the fun out of everything. Might be different for those who saw how the game went, but I didn't. Just the score. The two points dropped at home. The gap to second bottom seems a yawning 7 points. Will we even achieve 7 points in the next 8 games if we assume Killie lose every remaining game? A female told you the score? Jesus - they'll be playing the drums and driving HGVs next. We were 13 behind with 13 to go and it's down to seven with eight to go. We're on schedule to arrive in 11th place with nary a second to spare.

I wondered if before kick-off a bored millionaire had offered both dressing rooms a £20k prize to whomever could kick or head the ball highest, straight upwards. But it's another point closer and, as Conan says, the gap is narrowing. The trend is definitely towards a convergence of the bottom two. Hopefully the break allows at least Demel to come back in, letting Rankin back out wide.

Last seven league matches : Killie, W1 D1 L5 = 4 pts. Carry on the way we are and we're looking at both teams ending on 32pts. Depends on who can improve their current form.

We are officially pish btw We are pish, but fortunately the teams just above us aren't much different. We have the extra disadvantage of starting well behind (as it stands now that is). Our chances of saving ourselves from the drop are still slim, they've just improved from 5% to about 15% over the last month. I'd expect Killie to have a good chance of picking up another 3 wins or so from their last 7, so we'd need 6 wins from our last 8. It's still not very likely. And yet...
