Nah we don't otherwise we would be higher up the league

We have had it I'm afraid we just don't deserve to stay in the league out of 12 teams we have been the worst this season; on the very day Rangers clinch promotion too..

Could we really have expected any other outcome after the way the players have been blawin' away to the papers in the last few days? -Asking for trouble

Sounds a bit like one of these days. Create as many chances on Saturday, and hopefully we take one.

But games like this cost us.

I reiterate: a free hit.

Sounds like we had a load of chances and missed all of them, whereas they had two chances and scored one. Mama said there'll be days like this.

That leaves six games to close a five-point gap. Unlikely, but not impossible. The same as we've been saying since November, basically.

We'd have taken a 5 point gap at the split even a month ago. But our inability to string any run together has done for us. But a win on Saturday, regardless of what Kilmarnock do (they'll win) means we go into split with a chance. And we'd have all taken that a the turn of the year.

Wouldn't rule out St J's getting something at the weekend...Killie are still rank, and nervy. The one bonus of us losing tonight means the Saints need something at the weekend to make sure of top 6.

If we can win at home v ICT it indeed will still ensure we only need to win two more than Killie in the last 5. Though obviously we'll need to beat them in one of those. So that just leaves one more win than them in the other 4 games. Sounds easy when you put it that way.

Aye, but lose and we're sunk.

That was a frustrating game. First half, all over them and should have been ahead by at least one. Second half, I believe we amassed 0 shots. Not on target, just zero attempts to score. I may have missed an inconsequential pop or two, but we basically had no attempts at scoring.

I'm sure Archie made some terrifically clever tactical adjustments at half time, but I'd already had four pints and was in no fit state to notice them, which puts me on par with Mixu. We barely got out of our own half in the second half.

Odd formation - Demel on the right of midfield, Rankin on the left, and no overlapping fullbacks. Did we think we were playing The Celtics? Demel did well first half despite absolutely no support - it was like the bad old days when the ball would go to Charlie Miller and everyone would stop and watch. I'm guessing Demel is so awesome in training that everyone else just feels privileged to be on the same pitch as him.

Knoyle didn't do much, but was OK as far as it goes. Gunning had an unmental game for him - maybe our best player.

Nobody was bad except Kawashima, who didn't have much to do but flapped horribly at one cross and gave the ball away terribly. Dow was probably next worst, missing a couple of good chances and not really influencing the game as we might expect.

The one that was chopped off for offside doesn't look awfully offside.

Can't really tell from that though, it's a good second or so after the balls played.

So it's a blow, but not a hammer blow. A game we possibly should have won ended up getting away from us. It does make this weekends game v ICT all the more important though. Want to be going into the split within 3 points of Killie, which means getting a win and hoping they don't (I'm not expecting them to).

ICT can mathematically make top 6, so they can try and keep that alive against us, but it's not going to happen. They need to beat us and Hearts, while also requiring Dundee not to win and Thistle v Ross County ending in a draw. So it's a much bigger game for us, we'll have the numbers and the backing, our players will be up for it more. So while nothing is a definite, I'm expecting us to win.
