Odd. Killie's last manager resigned apparently in protest over Doughheid being sold. This one resigns a couple of days before the transfer window closes. Am I detecting some financial stress over there?

Aren't Killie essentially a profitable hotel with a rather expensive footballing PR department?

In any other business they would sell or close the PR dept.

I saw on the twitter the Guardian's Ewan Murray trying to get from John Barnes (that one) what the deal was with the Kilmarnock hotel/football combination was with not much success. The latest in a number of high quality series of tweets he's had with journalists he's called out for being crap.

Any info on when the game is to be rescheduled for?

Sad to hear Locke has gone. Everything sounded pretty bad at Killie. Would have suited us to have it kept on going that way rather than someone new (like Davies) coming in and possibly getting them going again.

Oh who's seen the clips of the ranting Killie fan on fb/youtube/wherever? I feel like he needs a cuddle

Gary Sawers lists them on his Facebook page. Usually very funny animated rants from someone who nonetheless seems a real fan and gives credit where it's due.

In the absence of Utd game this afternoon I took in another match, and found myself speaking to one of Ally McCoist's "who are these people?" who imposed the transfer ban on the Currant Buns in 2012. In awe, I was.
And who was that person?
Aha!

I cannae tell you.

Been looking to this game for a while but sadly I will be outside the country come Dienstag nacho, so I'll just take this opporchancity to say "get tore right in aboot these f*cking hopeless students cunts", and then follow it up with "don't fuck it up".

In games like this when we really, really need to win, we don't have a great record in doing so. Hopefully we can get the win this time.

Hasn't surly already indicated that the omens are bad.

Funnily enough, that was pretty much the team talk Alex McLeish would give during his spell as Rangers1's manager, as I learned from a colleague who lived next door to one of the despairing cultured foreign stars of that team.

So I'm basically saying you're as qualified as McLeish to manage a big-ish football club.
