He'd clearly been told at half time to make himself available in the channels rather than just hanging around in the middle waiting for things to happen. But he seems totally unable to find a pass. It's a perverse thing to say, given he's the only goalscorer in the squad, but I'd not be too upset if McKay is recalled tomorrow. It's one of these situations where you could probably make the same argument about most of our players, yet the same players would likely do well in other teams. For example, we signed Rankin from Hibs when they were terrible and he couldn't get a game. He's been a good signing and good player for us, while Hibs got worse and went down. Rather, it just seems like we're in on these situations were it's a combination of multiple issue with the whole team that's built up of the past year- lack of fitness, lack of concentration, lack of confidence, lack of organising, lack of pace, lack of width, few players who don't care, and lack of quality. Some things have improved, but we're not going to be able to fix all of that in 2-3 months. Even if there's plenty players in the squad who should be doing much better.

He crowns it all off, bringin the boy doon. Gives Nancy an easy route for a 2nd yellow. He shoulda been hooked at half-time. He was easily one of our best players today, except for this nonsence. Great goal from the free-kick from Spittal. He was MOTM for me, contributing with some good back-trackin as well. It looked to me like a daft punch away by the keeper gave them the equalizer. There's been far too many "individual mistakes by individuals players" this Season, and I fear it might be the death of us in the Premiership. Their 2nd goal looked like a deflection off Dillon. Erskines miss from McKay's cross was a sickener, but he played OK today. Good attempt by Rankin. A bit shocked to see Darko come on, but think he played no bad TBH. Pleased to see Murray come on, but he didnt see much of the ball but did get us atleast 1 free-kick Thought we stuck in for the last 10 mins but was too little too late.

Demel was off the pace for his last 35 minutes but still looked a steadying influence in midfield. Think Mixu did the right thing keeping him on, in spite of the inevitable card (which I assume means he misses the Celtic drubbing). Bodul offered nothing whatsoever in the way of pace, urgency or invention. All he did for 30 minutes was to receive the ball just off the centre circle, attempt a tidy sideways pass and lose possession. I'm old enough to remember McLean's various Uruguayan and Guatemalan signings who played exactly like this, and none was given more than 45 minutes. Bodul looks to be in the same category.

And the few times I've seen him I've thought he was quite a poor influence on the team. His constant bitching at teammates (albeit no doubt justified) can't help things. However given his scoring rate we can't afford for him to go, but I agree he sometimes offer nothing to the team when we need to dig deep (i.e. Every week). The rest of them? I thought Rankin played well as ever, but he was often left trying to be the playmaker which is clearly not his strength. If only we had players who were signed to fulfil that role? The defence - still a horrific bomb scare. Going forward, other than Spittal and Fraser on spots absolutely nothing. But to play a game against your rivals and essentially for 5/6 players to have effectively chucked it was utterly dispiriting. I think attendances will fall off a cliff now.

Mixu says the guys arent worried about relegation, thats ok then Advice to ST punt the lot of them now and lets get people in who actually care. Losing is acceptable but only if the team has given 110%. Ours just sit there and wait for things to happen than actually going out and makkng thwm happen. If McKay spends most of the game moaning at his team mates he should be told to button it and start putting a shift in. Hes thw type of player i hate, the superstar striker who moans its other players fault when he cant be arsed. Get the sleeves rolled up and get stuck in. If we are going down then lets put the.wind up a few of the.other teams. Remember in 1995 we had 3 games to save ourselves.. And i agree with Conan, Gunning is a dick.
