Sporcle is condensed time-torching evil and I am not going anywhere near it.
It absolutely is.

I can now place all 50 US states on a map accurately now though. Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, all those tricky ones.

And the capital of Vanuatu is Funafuti.
Er, Tuvalu.

Is this one easy? Clue : he used to live upstairs from my brother in the Seagate. Or perhaps just he was just visting. Certainly he was in the close all the time.
It's good old Chris Myers. I seem to recall he always wore that terrified look he has in the team photo there, even when he used to buy his newspapers from me in the newsagent I worked in at the time. Must have been aware how out of his depth he was. We had some shocking signings in the mid to late 90s, didn't we?

For those of you who want a proper challenge :banshk:

It was Jochen Muller.

I got a credible but not that impressive 66/121 for those players in the sporcle quiz. Tough stuff and it's brought back some repressed memories.

Eep. :X
Well, I dived in. Pleased to report I'm the best United fan here having scored 74 points and no really major misses. Robbie Winters, Scott Crabbe and Kevin Gallacher about the worst I didn't get.

However - who were Brian Flies, Jimmy Crawford, David Byrne and Stuart Gilmour? I thought Stuart Gilmour was the Master of the Fife Hunt...

It did remind me of the moment Championship Manager died for me, when I had Wayne Gil as a mainstay of my League winning 2005 United side after getting him on a free. When we then actually signed him and he was utter bobbins then that was done. Probably just as well.

I also couldn't decided if looking at those names made me think this team is could be worse or could be better than what I used to sit through back i the day.

I think Mark Kerr was the big Champ Manager letdown for most United fans. In the game he always went on to be a top level superstar and Scotland mainstay.

Though he played ok v the Huns on Saturday. No horrible passbacks that flogged any trophies at least.
