Very scrappy so far. Demel looks comfortable, if a little ahead in thought than his team-mates. Flo Sin-Po looked good until his hamstring went ping, which is unfortunate. Spittall and McGowan the best of the rest. Thistle aren't great but could conceivably stage a smash and grab late on if we don't manage to grab a goal or two. One thing I'm certain of is that a sizeable portion of the ET stand are total fanny's with the patience of a spoiled three year old. |

Not that unhappy I had to miss the game today as I was working. Sounds like similar to previous weeks. Better, but not enough. |

Now now, Dean, Thistle had two chances. They hit the post as well after all. Still not convinced Szromnik has made a save at Tannadice. It is very tough to see where improvement will come right now. They're not playing well and snatching at chances, making no confident decisions and the ball isn't running for them either. Good showing for Demel, at least, albeit he was clearly knackered. We badly needed an attacking option off the bench as well and I'm baffled as to why we had none there. It's been a bloody hard season so far and they need a big improvement and a lot of luck. |

Could United fans give this one a rest now please? GMS was off in the summer anyway and Armstrong would have been going into the last year of his contract so would doubtless have been off in the summer anyway. Sure, it badly hit us last season but we can't go on using that as an excuse or a reason for this season being so mince. Efit to add: they're both looking garbage right now as it is. Not sure they'd be helping us that much if the form they're showing for Celtic was being reproduced for us. Edited by Cobardon, Dec 12 2015, 06:25 PM.

I agree there is little to be gained from the constant wailing about the lossof ?GMS/armstrong duo and (on that theme) when the Castle Huntly outing rounded on our excellent chairman second half they were deservedly booed by the other United fans in the JKerr. Trouble is Mixu 's new system isn't working. We remain defensively vulnerable out wide, the midfield build up is pedestrian and aimless and McKay is badly shorn of support and burden sharing from players who could play him in or get beyond him. szromnick didn't do much wrong but inviting a full press onto you time after time at goal kicks just looks juvenile and it's hardly surprising we lose so many soft goals when we fritter away possession. Oh.....and another thing.. Telfer is going backwards at a club he came to to develop his game. At least Souttar is unsellable on current form. Edited by TheDean, Dec 12 2015, 07:53 PM.

Why? Its relevant in that the form dive started from that point. The players jacmanara signed were garbage. Mixu is trying.to sort out his mess but im afraid major surgery is required and a return to basic formation. 4-4-2. Get two fast wide men to open defences and two.quality finishers in the box. The game is simple, its complicated by buffoons. |

I thought we were the better team, certainly in the 1st half.. Silly sh1tty goal to lose, Gunning should've been marking Doolan better, and should never allowed him to turn, but I think the kerper shouldve stopped it as well. Think it's about the only attempt they had on goal. Counted us having about a dozen attempts , but due to deflections, clearances, misses, 1 handball, and saves by their keeper, we got eff-all. Trying to work wout why we never won the game and there was a few reasons. Too much trying to play the ball thru into the centre of their box, instead of making crosses. Spittals run in the 1st half and Dixons move in the 2nd half were 2 of the exceptions, but nobody could get on the end of them. We sat too deep for too long during the game. We didnt close them down near enough. There was a period in the 1st half, of about 4 minutes, when their back 4 and their midfield passed the ball back and forth left to right, and we never touched the ball. However when our back 4 had the ball, they were on us. Totally unbelievable. It was unfortunate to see Pongo go off after 10 minutes, and then Demel after 55 minutes. More injuries? It was good to see Erskine back in the shirt though. Dont understand why Telfer was subbed tho instead of Souttar, who I thought was a bit of a waste of space yesterday. Thought we were playing with 10 men at times. There was an improvement when Rankin and Erskine came on. Overall the performance has improved, but not enough. |

Still, we stopped them getting many shots. From the highlights, it seems like we had 2-3 decent chances. Just need to take one of them. |
