Surely due a win.

Surely someone other than McKay will score.

Surely by now someone will have figured out how to work the scoreboard.

What's the craic with the scoreboard? I always sit in the Jerry Kerr so am oblivious to it's quirks.

Aye, we are due a win (or a MUST WIN, according to most of Eastfudball).
I guess progress, after an away draw, would be a home win, so hopefully we will continue to progress.
Morris would be a welcome return. Or a Demel debut instead of Durnan would avoid upsetting the Rankin/Souttar axis that actually seems to be working fairly effectively.
We might even get an appearance from our long-awaited new keeper...

A few basic things seem to have been overlooked, like the fact some of the text is unreadable if you're not standing right in front of the screen.

Despite about 10 attempts, they've never been able to get the team line up announcement to match what's on the screen.

When the player pictures that do appear, half the faces are a dark blob on a nice bright sky.

Last time, the transition from player to player was so flickery, it should have had an epilepsy warning.

The injury time text is blurry and only appears briefly, rather than being continually once the 45 mins are up.

Half the adverts disappear before you can read the text.

It's still good to have, even if irritates me. Although during the last match I was looking for things to distract me from the game, and the scoreboard seemed to be that thing.

It's not a must-win, but a win would certainly be useful. Thistle, ICT, Kilmarnock and Motherwell all have games they'd be expected to lose over the coming weeks, whereas we have three six-pointers.

Taking six points from four games against closest rivals doesn't seem an unrealistic target. We've got one point so far. Five more might leave the table looking like .........

Motherwell 19
Kilmarnock 18
ICT 18
Thistle 16
United 14

...... which isn't too bad. It's certainly not a lost cause. I'd go:

................... Kawashima
McGowan Dillon Demel Gunning Dixon
............... Souttar Rankin
........Spittal ................ Pongole
...................... M'Kay

I know there are worse players in his position, but I'm still a little unsure how Dillon manages to keep his place, he seems to be involved in most of the goals we concede.... :ermm:

I can only presume he's playing better than the highlights suggest?

Oh and it's difficult to criticise McKay too much (given he's scoring all our goals!), but jeez if he'd put away a few of his one on ones in the last 2 games we'd be a fair few points better off...

Still, on a positive note glad to hear Pongolle looks as though he might be a find! Onwards and upwards.

Having just watched the Kilmarnock highlights, it's not hard to see where the problem is.

I'm guessing Szromnik was told to stay on his line, which is a fair tactic when you're a flappy keeper in a gale. What's inexplicable is that the back three weren't on the same wavelength. No one attacked the ball at the Killie goal, which is one of the worst I've ever seen. Then they all did exactly the same a few minutes later.

Is Kawashima the type of keeper who comes for crosses? If he is, we'll improve.

szromnik will still be in goal as the Murdo MacLeod memorial panel will take some time to decide if a 70+ cap international keeper is really good enough to play in our league.

To say that this Saturday is not must win is plain daft so the source is unsurprising.

I'm just glad Muirhead won't be playing.

What'll happen if we don't win? Will we be relegated automatically? Or will be be in approximately the same position as we are currently, with two more games to come against similarly ranked opposition in which we might also register a win that'd improve our standing by an equal degree?

Right then.

Tube.

Its to be entirely expected that buffoons don't understand the requirement to gather momentum and build confidence from a decent result this weekend. :fisted:

Szromnik, Dixon, Souttar, Morris, McKay, McGowan, Durnan, Gunning, Spittal, Sinama Pongolle, Demel

Morris back, Dillon out.

Demel in, Rankin out

Stronger spine to the team, hopefully the fitness is there, or we're 4-0 up in the first 45.

Awful first 45. Pongolle hamstring. Dixon and Souttar u/s Demel classy looking and strong. Just as well. McGowan tearing a strip off Durnan. Only the castle Huntley Xmas outing to the Jerry Kerr is providing any atmosphere
