RIP - not entirely unexpected in the circumstances. Rare genius seen all too briefly

Was in the main stand nearer the Provie end when he took the wonder chip. Didnae have too great a view where I was. Only realised what he'd done when it landed in the net. Thanks for that Ralphie. Upper Tier hospitality for you now m8.

His goal at 2:40 here is quite something -- and it's only the third-best goal scored in that game.

(Hamish really needs to do better on crosses though.)

He was an amazing player for a good while and a pleasure to speak to the one time I met him. For some folk alcohol is just bad news.

Rest in peace Ralph.

I always remember his goal when we beat Killie 7-0. The first time we did that, I think. Anyway, he got the ball on about the half way line wriggled past one, then another then between a couple more and drilled it under the keeper. Some goal, some player.

We can only imagine what he could have done if he hadn't succumbed to that classic Scottish disease.

He was a real one off, to have his style and skill now.

If he ran riot back then what would he have done today?

Why did everything get personal with McLean? Wonderful players sometimes need an arm.round shoulder not a boot up the arse.

My Dad and I were reminiscing about Ralphie and agreed how it now seems almost ridiculous that we took for granted standing in the Shed watching Milne, Luggy, Bannon and Dodds every week creating and scoring bucket loads of goals. And that we would still find something to moan about.
