At long, long last, it looks like Blatter may be going. And not a moment too soon.

I guess there's still along way to go to try to improve the organisation, but at least it's a start.

I guess the FBI must be doing a decent job of their investigation...

Wonder if there's still time to change the 2022 world cup...?

Im not sure this is something worth celebrating sometimes its a case of better the devil you know.

Having said that it will be good to see if we can trace where all the money has gone.

FIFA is just national FAs on a grander scale, and that will most likely change very little. When so much money is involved, crooks will be drawn to it.

UEFA's a joke as well.

Not to mention our very own SFA who gave the go ahead to Dave King taking over at Snake Mountain.

Yes I know I know there are many other instances I could mention but I don't have all morning.

Surely being just even slightly less of a joke is a step in the right direction. Of course, nothing is going be perfect, but if it means even a slightly smaller chance that future events will go to the likes of Qatar, it's a good thing.

For sure.

But FIFA is far more corrupt than its head. While Blatter isn't a scapegoat, he's far from the main issue. The issue is the process rather than the individual/s. And the corrupt FAs and governments that allow FIFA to do whatever they like when they like.

The King is dead. Long live the King, maybe.

Anyway, even if FIFA were to get its act together, the majority of football will remain the same. Money will continue to be the most important thing, big clubs will increase their stranglehold over the game, and many fans will be priced out of attending. Marketing companies will still get to ensure that ticket holders need to remove their clothes if the branding is wrong, and generally, the fans will continue to be f*cked over.

And Celtic will continue to hoover up the decent players and then moan about a lack of competition.

Plus ca change.

Faulty processes and corrupt individuals are a bad combination.

Long live the Prince, possibly:

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/who-will-replace-sepp-blatter-as-fifa-president-michel-platini-favourite-10292897.html

So, main contenders are the 5th in line to the Jordanian throne, and a man whose playing career ended surprisingly in the Kuwait national team. Presumably for purely footballing reasons, ofcourse.

Might aswell keep those plane tickets to Qatar.

Yeah, football will remain bent. But the threat of jail will hopefully tame its worst excesses.

The importance of the Russia and Qatar decisions was not that they proved Fifa is corrupt, but that they showed how corruptly Fifa leaders believed they could operate without any repercussions. Turns out they were wrong. Therefore, future corruption will have to be more clandestine, which is more difficult. That's as good an outcome as could be expected, really.

Surely the end of Blatter & Co.

Challenge is finding anyone better to take over. If the system doesn't change, same outcomes will likely happen.

Blatter will burn in the fires of hell for all eternity, so will Platini. They're a pair of bad bastarts. Lies and greed are a way of life for these odious men. They represent evil, if there was any true justice they'd spend the rest of their days in monster mansion but they won't. Not even castle Huntly for these snakes. I wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall at the gates of hell when they are condemned to the fires of doom. Even as they burn they'll protest their innocence. They're in Satan's hands now, the sooner they accept their fate the better.
