On the back of a couple of decent performances including a victory after playing the top two teams in the country, we must be going into this one with a bit of confidence. Mustn't we?

Why, there's even an outside chance I'll make it to this one. Happy times indeed!

A win here and third place doesn't look such a silly idea after all, what with ICT being on an equally terrible run of league form as we have been on recently.

If there's 2 teams we don't want to be playing right now, its ICT and St Johnstone, given they'll harass and bully the players who've been doing well of late and stop us from playing.

Still, may aswell learn how to play against them at some point.

When does the season end? Apart from not soon enough.

Rumours abound that Justin J Johnson might be on the bench tonight, having showboated a lot for the Special Needs Team. Counter-rumours abound that he hasn't been signed yet and isn't allowed to play as a trialist. Whichever way, that adds some much-needed drama to the evening.

Unchanged team. Wind. Rain. 0-0.

This game has arrived perfectly to scunner any semblance of momentum generated by Saturday. Dour stuff with Inverness sneaking a win thanks to comic defending and John Hughes saying he couldn't be prouder of his boys and the effort they have put in despite playing on Saturday.

I still can't actually get my head around the fact he is now Manager of the Season.

You'll get 4.5 on a United win, and 12 (twelve!) to win by more than one goal. That's not bad for what's likely to be an evening of wind-assisted pinball in the pissing rain, resulting in a final scoreline that's more or less random.

I'm going to wait till it gets to 1-1 before placing my ultra bets.

I've got a feeling Shirty will score a winner. And Hughes will reflect on the game with some disdain, ''Dundee United knew they were in a football match tonight, all credit to the boys, we went out to win the football match, that referee knew he was in a football match too. You can't tell me there's a hungrier referee in the country''

Seems like we're doing ok so far. Hopefully can hold out to half time without conceding.

....

Oh well.

Time for some half time inspiration to get us back on top.

Indeed. The momentum's changed as i expected it would, the managers got to give the guys a bit of a Housty style blasting.
Sounds like a couple of wonder goals though.

Oh well, still seems like we're creating more chances but a bit to go to improve the defense.
