Apparently we changed back to 4 at the back after half an hour or so, and Souttar went into midfield. Not sure how we played, but it doesn't seem to have been great.

It's very hard to tell anything at the moment. There seems to be a large section of the fan base who are wallowing in misery like it's a North Korean state funeral.

Seems Bilate (hamstring) has done a hamstring again, meaning we'll be seeing more of Muirhead and Anier before this season slows to a standstill. Given we probably don't want to be in Europe anyway, and given it's a 99% chance that Ciftci's off in summer, would it make sense to play both? We'll be needing a striker for next term and our chances of buying a good one over the summer are very, very slim.

I'm not so sure Ciftci will be off. His continued daftness and -more importantly- his form over the past few months means that there won't be a queue of suitors right now. Certainly not enough to make him bankable. Especially given the fan backlash there would be...if the club want to sell any season tickets at all, giving him a new deal would make sense. Or at the very least letting him run down the current one. Short of a really outrageously daft offer we won't be selling anyone for a wee while.

Muirhead had a whole half yesterday and did nothing by the sounds of it. Listening on the radio they were raving about Soutar's showing. Good to see Coote coming on too.

If we're willing to take £250k for GMS, then surely we'll be willing to cash in on Ciftci in the summer should anyone be interested. Unless we're changing plans.

For his form, a bit like McNamara, I think a few people will be willing to forgive the last few months and look at the positives from the past 18 months years. Everyone has bad form from time to time, and no-one's going to go for Ciftci unless they're willing to take a chance anyway, so for a few hundred thousand, could be a bargain.

I'd suggest he's suffered more than anyone from the departure of ********* and ***. Moreover, I'd suggest Celtic are likely to have noticed that.

Imagine if Celtic bid ~£700k for Ciftci on the last day of the summer transfer window. Thompson would lay an egg.

For me he's been off form, in that he's not doing that well at some of the basic things or looking much of a threat, even when Erskine and Connolly do what Armstrong and GMS used to do.
Of course, he can still shift past people like they're not there and hold the ball better than anyone, and is more of an attacking threat than anyone else in the team by a distance.

Take Ciftci out of the team sheet, along with Rado and Dillon, then look at the team - does anyone think that team will get top 6 next year? Top 8? It's getting to the point where you wonder how mucha bad season, in terms of league placement, cup runs and lack of attendances would cost us.
