SFA are seeking fans views on whether alcohol should be sold at stadiums during matches. I guess it saves them having to think for themselves.

Given that it's possible in england it seems, then it's hard to see any real safety grounds for it not being allowed here.

But like a few other things, it might be desirable to ban it in an attempt to create a better environment.

Any thoughts?

There is no need to sell alcohol in grounds, if you can't enjoy yourself without getting legless then maybe you should seek help.

Keep the booze away from football grounds. Most radgers are already tanked up and being boorish as f*ck. Think what a few pints of overpriced watered down Carling would do to that.
At tyncecastle last year i overheard a slabberly Utd fan taking a shine to a female steward:
He said ''c*nt, tidy wee farter oan ye, widdnae mind a wee diddy. Some can's oan ye innaw likes''
Young kids were exposed to that language, it's worse than f's and c's. It's as graphic as Nymphomaniac Volume 1.

Maybe we could legalise alcohol and ban sexual harrassment?

It's the middle ground though that's pretty much fine 99% of the time.

People get to the game having had a few drinks as they can't drink at the game. Does it really make much difference if it's 1 or 2 at the game instead?

I'm torn between sitting amongst people who are already drunk and being obnoxious or sitting amongst people who are getting drunk and obnoxious.

There's something about being able to buy booze at a game where the booze-buyers' priorities change from getting a drink before going to the match to just getting a drink at the match. The football becomes an expensive distraction from the main purpose of the day - buying booze.

Isn't all a bit academic with the new drink drive limits? I used to occasionally visit the Hegarty Lounge at Tannadice before home games (and derby games up at the other place) Simple advantages of parking early near the ground and a hassle free environment guaranteed (no opposition fans) + any profit going to DUFC rather than someone else. :lager:

Alas no more under the present circumstances my match day habits have changed. :(
