Another team without a manager in place, think might be a tough game if Locke is in charge and has them fired up.

But we should be able to keep a good bit of form going.

Presume similar team to last game, but it could be anyone... Muirhead maybe to pop up with a last minute winner.

Locke has them fired up.

We'll match his fire with our flares...

In all seriousness, when will the club do something - if it can - about these dicks with their orange smoke?

On another subject of doing nothing, I notice that Stewart Regan, in an exchange of tweets at the weekend, asked for any ideas about sorting out the followers of the Bigots. In the aftermath of Hampden, he seems stuck because "the police can't arrest thousands of people".

Might be a shame this is the first match Muirhead is eligible for. For short term results, Locke is probably a decent man for Killie to have in charge. Hopefully him already having been there for a while under Magic will have anaesthetised the Killie players to his motivational abilities.

Yeah, it'd be unsportsmanlike to bring in Muirhead here. He can have a run in the next two games (Johnnies and Thistle at Tannadice).

McGowan Dillon Fojut Dixon
......... Butcher Paton
...... Spittal Ciftci Dow
............... Anier

Seems Fojut is banned, and Souttar injured.

So Dillon / McGowan can fight for who plays right back and who is in the centre.

Anyone else ready to write off Anier as pish yet, as I am?

The modern day Rory Boulding.

I've not seen much of him , so once he's had some some time to get fit and up to speed to see what he can offer, can see if I can work out what sort of player he is. Seems hard working enough, but without much impact on any area.

Yeah, I have. I mean, just look at him. Gormless face, shit quiff.

I've also written off Charlie Telfer, BTW. A modern day Ray McKinnon.

Do Kilmarnock have any strikers? If not: let Paton and Butcher man-mark that Russian guy and the other one. No reason to worry overly about what's going on front of them, so put McGowan in the middle and Spittal on the right to balance Dixon on the left. Oh, and start Muirhead within a rotating four. Bollocks to sportsmanship: he's used to the pitch, which normally gives them an unfair advantage. It's eeksie-peeksies.

Spittal McGowan Morris Dixon
...... Butcher Paton
... Dow Muirhead Erskine
.............Ciftci

0-17.

This might be worth a thread of its own....eventually. I still think Anier needs time to get properly match fit and used to our style of play- another Nadir he ain't I'll grant you.

If we'd written off Stevie Crawford with that speed we might never have bought him.

But if Anier indeed does a Boulding and nets our winner in injury time on 7th March I won't complain.

CIERZNIAK, MCGOWAN, DILLON, MORRIS, DIXON, RANKIN, TELFER, DOW, ERSKINE, CIFTCI AND ANIER

Anier should be getting bit more match sharp, so needs to start looking a threat.

Looks like just 1 holding, hopefully Rankin has a good game.

One assumes:

.................Cierzniak
McGowan, Dillon, Morris, Dixon
........... Rankin, Telfer
..........Dow, Cifci, Erskine
....................Anier

...though the casual observer might think it lends itself more to an old-fashioned 4-4-2.

Whatever the formation, seems like it's got us off to a good start, 1-0 up.

Sounds like yet another Rado calamity has got us on the back foot again. Let's hope our keeping scouts are up to their usual standard when he goes this summer. Is it the case that his mind is already on to other climes?

Calamity being the operative word alright. We cannae beat Killie away from home, but we're gonna beat Celtic 3 times. Eh right. And another thing in case anybody's no noticed. The BNBs are onky 2 places behind us.

Regardless of the injuries and suspensions, we've looked defensively poor for so long now. It's really hurting us and will stop us having a good season unless we get a grip of it.
