That Partick right back has knocked back Blackpool, possibly going to us in the summer.

That would be good if he's good. Is he good? Could anyone tell me if he's good?

ETA: This Partick right back.

General ptfc forum chatter seems to be
Pros...

  • Very attack-minded.

  • Doesn't stop running.

Cons

  • Defensively not great, with a tendency to leave a big gap behind him as he bombs forward.

  • End product a bit hit-and-miss

So, there you go.

tendency to leave a big gap behind him as he bombs forward.
Isn't this a common limitation among all human-shaped players?

Ruddy hell. I had already completely forgotten about Curtis Good.

I am 66 years old.

Courier also speculating on return of Dixon, who Huddersfield are happy to see leave.

Very good (though, again not Curtis Good).

The gripe, I assumed, was him haring off down the wing even when without the ball

I guess it makes sense, he's likely 3rd choice at the moment, and unless someone's forgotten his contract renewal, seems like he might be off, so playing more and going to what would be a good team for him could work well.

It's a shame. I like Keef.
He seems an honest, young guy, who never quite lived up to the expectation bestowed upon him by Levein.
I guess he is at least third choice now though, especially with Spittall seemingly being groomed for that spot too.
He'll do well at Hibs and I suspect we'll see him back at Tannadice before long.

By the sounds of it, SMcD is very exclusively a right back. Not seeing the sense of signing him, to be honest, given we already have McGowan and half a dozen possible understudies.

Dixon, not sure. If he's the player he was then super --but the player he was had a run out for Scotland alongside Gary Kenneth, which I note only as a reminder that it was a very long time ago. Why are Huddersfield happy to see him exit?

Dixon's fallen out of favour down there, as so often happens when a new boss comes in, as one did this season.

He was mainly getting used as a wing-back, I recall, so perhaps a berth in left midfield is the idea as much as anything?

I like Watson too, and hope it works out well for him wherever he ends up, which it increasingly seems won't be at Tannadice.

I'm usually in the never go back camp, but if Townsend isn't going to be here next season, we'll need cover and Dixon would seem a good option.
