Seems like preseason has started.

From various reports, we drew 0-0 yesterday in ireland, wilson's injured and souttar played in midfield.

We're playing Bohemians on Saturday and a a few dutch teams before Leeds away on the 2nd August.

No home games though.

gunner Graham missed a hatful - no change from last season

Connolly also injured in training and won't feature for a couple of weeks

kudos, Butcher , Midge left behind . if they don't go to Holland suspect it will be loan time for them elsewhere.

Cant see anything online about the match against Bohemians, so I phoned a mate who's there, and he tells me we're 2 nil up. 1st goal Dowser, following assist from Shifty. 2nd goal Shifty penalty if I heard him right. Anybody know where I can follow this?

So, starting XI thus...
McCallum, Paton,Trialist, Smith S, Morris, Dillon, Ciftci, Fraser, Dow, Armstrong and Mackay-Steven

Who is this Fraser person and where does he play?
Also, S Smith. Who he?

ETA - I see Graham got half an hour and managed to score. The big cuddy.

Graham got a last min. Pen.

dows first well taken , and he was taken down for Ciftci's 2nd from the spot. Spittal did well out left for armstrongs third.

Two clean sheets for McCallum.

Injury list grows. Wilson out for 6 weeks, Keef has done his calf so Pates played RB today. I think Smith, Fraser Petrie and the new boys have fit in pretty well. Fraser seems to be big fella with a better haircut than Soapy (who was ill today). Calum Morris will be needed.

If I remember right, Fraser's a big dirty sod who was out on loan to Brechin or some hellhole like that last year. Holding midfielder and understudy for Paton this year, one would imagine.

S Smith is Stevie Smith, the darkly comic, unsentimental and unaffectedly individualistic realist poet who died in 1971. Or it might be Scott Smith, a Gomis-like buzzy midfielder who was U20s 13/14 player of the year.

And with that comment, sir, you aren't waving...

Don't know what kind of side we had out in Oban but they lost to Alloa 1-0 and to Hamilton 3-0 before beating St Johnstone 3-0 and Oban Saints 1-0.

No Butcher in Ireland. Is he injured too or is he getting binned?

Nice to see lots of games this pre-season. Give everyone a chance to stake their claim and some decent oppostition to boot (although yesterday was Bohs second string by all accounts since they played a league game on Friday evening).

From what I remember from seeing a U20 game last season, Fraser is a midfielder with good touch and passing more than tough tackling.

A very much second string side thrashed Forfar tonight, 2-2.
Robertson, Hilson (2), Moore.

Cierzniak, Spark, Robertson, Souttar, Petrie, Spittal, Telfer, Oyenuga, Connolly, Fraser, Smith

Subs: McCallum, Gardyne, Coote, Montgomery, Moore

Young Dale with a point to prove evidently.
Good to see Jordan Moore on the scoresheet.

I'm personally excited to see 'Bald as a' on the bench. Did he get on?

Will be interesting to track his progress and see if he gets anywhere near the 1st team this season.
