Jackie now out to 6/1 in old money. Dark Crystal remains favourite but has dropped back to 7/2, nearly equal with Moyes. Laying both of those looks a no-lose position as the worst you'll get is one payout.
Wow :$

Oi Keane now 1.01 to get the job. An appointmemt that's simultaneously unimaginative and reckless, like when ITV tried to replace Gordon Ramsay with MPW. Hope he's shit.

So, Calico ... what colour of car should I buy with my winnings?

Unsure on Keane for Celtic.

His managerial record is mixed, and he seems to struggle more with dealing with players than any other aspect. Maybe at Celtic he'll get a squad more receptive to his plans, or a board willing to back him up.

If he can win things and do well in Europe, then it'll maybe set him up nicely for a return to the premier league.

Quite a nice job for him - guaranteed trophy at the end of this season and plenty of leeway to experiment/make mistakes/alienate the squad whilst doing it.

Looks like we won't have the fun / carnage of Keane as next celtic manager, and that car color choice may have to wait.

So, onto their 3rd choice then. Confidence boost for whoever that is.

I've never understood the "if I'm not your first choice I don't want the job" attitude, nor the idea that any appointment of a third choice candidate should be any less successful than only going for a candidate you already know would snap up the job gratefully without a moment's thought.

I do understand those attitudes of course. It's just that they're wrong.

Thanks for your concern, but I've closed out both shorts already. Neither seems to have moved much though, as the punter money now looks to be settling on that angry testicle West Ham sacked a while ago.

The chart of Keane's odds, meanwhile, is a joyous thing.

I've always thought of Steve Clarke as a fairly mild-mannered, thoughtful chap.
I take it you meant West Brom?

Hmph. Clarke is actually a good manager, unlike Keano. Hopefully The Celtics see sense and go for a club legend with poor managerial experience. John Hartson perhaps.

That was my first thought too.
I was very happy to see Keane in the dug-out for the Smeltics but Clarke might actually turn them into a decent footballing side.

edit - still getting used to swipe-typing.

Clarke was Zola's assistant at West Ham so probably has been sacked by them too.

Gutted Keane turned them down might have had a title race then, be nice if they would give John Barnes another chance.

Clarke would seems a good choice, plenty experience, contacts and been around europe with a few teams.

Surely someone else would be more exciting though.
