I think a fair enough result, and hopefully some good performances from the fringe players.

A good week ahead, and onto the cup final.

Thought the B-Team played some nice stuff, with Gomis, hearteningly, looking back to himself.
GMS looked knackered not long after he came on but did well to force the o.g.
Strangest penalty award I've ever seen, with Samaras simply kicking Gunning out of the way before Rado's abberation.
Armstrong looked hungry when he came on and injected real urgency into things, after a period of not-very-incisive posession play.
All in all, a decent workout for the main event next weekend.
One of the least debatable penalties I've seen in a good while, Gunning completely powder puff in tackle with Samaras. Very glad old Rado didn't get sent off - would that have meant missing the final, or the first SC game next season?

I'd have sent Commons off for booting Paton up in the air in the first half.

Yeah, had only seen it live at that point and thought it looked like Conchita kicked Gunning's legs away without playing the ball (or at least well before it).
But on second, and third, viewing it's clear that Gunning was just being rubbish.

Sadly my father died last week.

Please can i ask something? Could you consider registering yourself with the delete blood cancer site?
If just doing this helps save 1 life, it will be worth it.

Just been up for funeral so if anyone wants to go for a pint..

All the best Zico. Remember that a funeral is a celebration of a person's life and you'll have great memories of your Dad.

It's a shame the team didn't quite manage the victory you hoped for against Celtic or in the cup final to lift your dad in his final days.

All the best.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Zico.

I trust he had a fitting send-off.
