A good opportunity to get some confidence ahead of the tough final 3 games. Hopefully we get go out and play our attacking game, scoring a few goals. Think there may be few changes for this one. Think Dow will return. Maybe a dull 0-0 with a clean sheet would be a good enough result however. |

I would give Dow the chance to win a place in the cup final team. Gauld is a little anonymous recently. |

I don't know. After half-past ten on a matchday and no thread.... Seems that GMS is struggling to be fit for this one. With ICT playing Celtics, a win would go a long way to us securing fourth spot. It would also keep alive our slim chances of pipping Motherwell to third. A dour 1-1. Hammell, Dow. |

I guess things must be too busy if the match thread ends up 1/2,way down the page... |

Whoops! My bad. I did think it was very un-Set like to not have a thread. Should've looked harder. I'm feeling a bit more optimistic now. Perhaps it's the positive football on display in the Southampton v Everton match (Oh dear, Seamus Coleman...) Perhaps it's my hangover clearing... Whatever, I'm now anticipating a free-flowing game, full of incident and skill. Still 1-1, mind. |

Why is the team sheet ordered like that? If they did it by number that would at least make some sort of sense as well as being utterly stupid. I prefer: 01 Cierzniak 12 Watson 26 Robertson 02 Dillon 05 Gunning 08 Rankin 06 Paton 11 Mackay-Steven 10 Armstrong 18 Dow 21 Ciftci I'm only grappling with the big issues today. Hangover. Home alone. DIY chores that I did not choose and question the need for. |

Is it in the old formation style? ie the fourth player was a midfielder, 5&6 were the centre-halves and the front-five were listed from right-to-left....um....yeah... Oh, I don't know! |

Very pleasing result and performance. Motherwell were ok in parts but not a huge goal threat in the first half, but unlucky not to score more later on, as we didn't cope well with some of their direct play. Armstrong was on the verge of being unplayable setup two, scored one and set up two other very good chances. Combined with other good players around him, we were excellent on the break and attacking with pace and movement. Dow was also excellent, good running, constantly caused their defence problems. Should have won a penalty. If only he'd have made a few better decisions, could have scored another two or three. GMS good going forward and back, worked hard and good running. Very good finishes from Ciftci and some good all round play. Defence was a bit shakey at times, Dillon and Gunning both excellent but with lapses that could have resulted in a goal. But both dealt well with Sutton, not fouling him and letting him get frustrated. Ref was mostly good, didn't give Sutton too many fouls, but seemed to miss a lot of pushes. Thought was clear penalty on Dow, he seemed to play advantage for some unknown reason. Overall, very pleasing to see us play back at top form. |
