If Chippy is rewarded for being too lazy to get on the phone first thing Monday morning to get 100 conc tickets on behalf of someone with a season ticket, natural justice has gone to hell.

No way you'll find me blessing The Celtics Park with my presence on Cup Final day if United have been instrumental in letting Chippy save £7.

No f*cking way.

At least it's not a lapel.

(btw, it would be ludicrously easy to refund people who'd bought full price tickets for kids. And fair)

I'm happy with my excess £7, that's only fair for the superior seat I deserve. It's the £50 levy for taking the kids. You get off on stealing pennies from children's piggy banks now do you, ya sick fck?

Flap off.

Courier says that Thompson has raised the issue with the SFA, who've said no.

Quote:

“We have asked the SFA for more concession tickets but they have said no,” confirmed Thompson.

“As a result of that our ticket sales have slowed dramatically and I think you will be lucky to get 40,000 at the game.

“There could be 20,000 empty seats. Do they want that or would they prefer people to go to the game?

“It is discouraging people from going. There is a huge difference in price between the concessions and the non-concession tickets.

“For two adults and two kids in the concession section it costs £76 but now the SFA want us to sell tickets for £35 each and no concessions for kids, pensioners or students.

“That means for a family of four it’s going to cost £140, which is far too much for a lot of people to afford. It makes no sense to have no concessions in the other sections of the stadium.”

Hello everyone. Just thought I'd pop my head round the door to let you know of this JustGiving page. I think it's a great idea.

What are "deserving families"? Are they also hard working? And do these shows of histrionic schmaltz make us the Celtic of this particular final?

Maybe it's lost in translation at my end.

Also, it's nice to see Naebody hasn't changed one bit in my time away from here! B)

Nearly £15k raised, that's a very good effort, with hopefully more to come.

You know what'd be good? If the charity involved gave the £15k to the club. The club could then use that cash to fund its own concession tickets. Knock £20 or whatever off the coupon cost and sell them though the usual channels, one cheap ticket per full-price sale.

All this stuff about handing out free tickets to the deserving sounds jolly nice but strikes me as entirely unworkable.
