A nice warm up for the cup final. Will be a tough game. Hopefully we are focused on this game and a chance to try to push up the table.

Think we may go for a more robust team than started the rangers game. We should be prepare for their style of play at least.

Watson and Dow may come back in.

I think both deserve a start.
Wilson, I'm afraid to say, looks finished. His lack of pace, which leads to lunging challenges, was in evidence again yesterday.
He's given away a few penalties and free-kicks around the box this season.
It also makes building attacks down the right increasingly difficult.

Dow, conversely, seemed to re-energise the team when he came on.

Hopefully St Johnstone will be suffering from a cup hangover and we can get a result.
We may need it if ICT beat Aberdeen on Friday and push us into fifth...

Aye reekie, but it would be better if that game was a draw as Aberdeen and ICT would both drop 2 points.

Fourth is less important now. We either finish third or win the cup, otherwise no Europe.

Yep.
I'm happy for the two teams currently below us to pick up maximum points from those above.
It makes it much simpler for us: win.

No doubt a poor game yesterday, but I still think he's a good player to have in the squad.

Maybe more time to move into midfield for him? We could do with some backup for Paton / Rankin too, other than just gomis.

But Watson seems the best option at full back currently.

So, after a weekend of sober reflection, if JMc emails the SFA today to say that he has now decided to drop his appeal, the three-match ban begins next weekend - and everything is rosy for the Cup Final. Or doesn't it work like that?

I agree that Wilson's better days are now far behind him- the 2 year contract award looks a dubious decision and I'm kind of hoping that we either find a right flank Andy Robertson or bring back Dillon on that side as a back up to Keef.

We've shown already this season that winning is a great habit to retain and a b*gger to get back when lost, so hopefully momentum keeps building through the split matches.

Gauld apparently doubtful with a knock. So a rest may be a good thing for him.

And good opportunity for Dow to cement his place.

Also, Good is apparently back in training soon, so that's good news. Might be a tough call for the final if he can get fit in the coming weeks.

The man just won't got away. Bobby Madden appointed as 4th official for the game. Perhaps JMc can discuss some of his 'interesting' decisions last Saturday with him.

Seems like it does.

In all honesty, it seems strange it is allowed, but then again, the SFA are strange.

Wow. That is so transparently open to abuse, as has been demonstrated, it beggars belief.
Ach well. No chance of him resurrecting hostilities with Tommy Wright then,
so at least he'll definitely be in the dug-out for the cup final.*

*unless he punches Lennon at Celtic Park...

He does have a history of violence.

You can take the man out of Parkhead, but you can't take Parkhead out of the man. As they say ... or do they?

That doesn't count, it's Mark Hateley.

Speaking of 90s centre forwards called Mark, how much do you reckon Mark Yardley weighs now?
