Getting a bit confusing with the ICT thread doubling as the cup thread.

Sevco in the cup at Ibrox. Anyone think we might be under some physical threat, as intimated by fans chief Stephen Hughes?

I phoned my order yesterday. I dont think anyone, season ticket or not, will have trouble getting one.

Hopefully we sell out the allocation we get.

As for safety, I can't see there being much danger, unless you're very unlucky. Its played at lunch time, and most rangers fans aren't violent thugs who'll beat up children.

Some unpleasant songs aside, it'll be fine.

The players however best be careful.

As I've been at pains to point out, I'm not going. I don't believe there is any real physical threat, I just don't think it'll be an occasion for children.

Are you a child?

In some ways.

Fair enough. However, would it be OK if you could come along to Ibrox displaying as much childishness as possible, particularly in the form of your actual children, in order to provide a form of human shield for us fully grown Arabs against the hunnish onslaught? I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

They're a bit small. They're not going to shield very much to be honest.

So long as they're big enough to hold up and protect my face then they'll be fine for my uses.

It's more like when terrorists put their missile launchers and stuff inside schools, so it's harder for anyone to blow them up without being accused of a horrible massacre.

The more children present, the safer we'll all be. If the % of children drops below a certain threshold, then that's when the danger arises.

While that may be true, it's hard to know when that magic child ratio of safety has been achieved. Until then, I'm cowering behind a child or holding it in front of my face against sharpened coins.

It's all good.

Luckily Scotland might be forced to give up the £ before those new 12 sided ones come into circulation. They look like they could scalp a ref.

According to the Courier online this evening, at close of business today 7,900 tickets had been shifted. That's a remarkable response - and means that the additional allocation (whatever that is) of seats beyond the Broomloan Stand will soon be activated.

Albeit that plenty of the multiple season ticket holder purchases since Monday morning will be for folk who would otherwise have been engaged in the general sale, it certainly suggests we'll be taking a very decent number over 10,000 to Glasgow next month.

That's an excellent response as you say Hamish, given the bile surrounding the game.

Anybody know where those extra seats are? Right next to the horrible hordes of huns?

Part of a statement from Rangers on their website...

Based on the current arrangements, it is likely that the season ticket holder sale will not commence until 3rd April as the Scottish FA are currently holding the entire Govan stand in reserve until they have visibility of the likely demand from Dundee United supporters, who have been allocated the Broomloan Stand.

I see rangers got another narrow away victory in their game, with Daly coming off with hamstring issue, which may be minor.

Ticket sales seem to be going well, about 11,000 sold.
