Dundee sitting top of the Championship on goal difference with a game in hand, must be in with a good chance of coming up. Since next year looks like being a rather tough league, it would seem it'll be this year or a few years before they can get up. A few extra derbies would be welcome next year I think, without wanting Dundee to do too well, would be nice to get a few games against them next year. Anyone else wanting them up, or doomed to lower league football for a while? |

Its usually in these circumstances that they blow it so premature to be calling it now. More likely to be in the play offs given their record. I'd certainly go and cheer them on if Hibs' present form continues. What a brilliant fate that would be for Butcher if the Dees sent them down with Hearts. |

I'm supposed to be down to watch all their next three home games, so I'll let you know if they are any good or not then. They have to be better than when Brown was there. Dundee will throw away some stupid points I'm sure but it seems likely that so will Hamilton and Falkirk. Could be tense and go right to the last few games. I'd like to see them come up, as then I wouldn't have to see any First Divis...er Championship football. Which would be nice. Although that league could well be a bit more spicy next year in any case. |

Home defeat today must dent their chances. Level with Hamilton in points and goal difference. Big game between the two next week. |

Having now had the dubious pleasure of seeing them as much in the last two weeks as I have my own team all season I can report that they're crap. They have a few half decent players (and that's being kind) and lots of deadweight...their midfield was comfortably bossed by a guy who can't get into United's team, they look punchless up front and their defence switches off at key moments. Their only hope is that Hamilton aren't any better. Oh, that and the idea that they may end up meeting Hibs in the playoffs... |

I see the top-of-the-table clash ended 1-1, leaving Falkirk, 5-0 winners over the Blue Brazil, as today's real winners. What odds on the Bairns sneaking up on at least a play-off spot? Come on, Dundee. |

Falkirk are almost certain of a play off spot already. 2nd - 4th are in the playoffs, so Falkirk should be in those. It works that 4th play 3rd, then the winner of that plays 2nd, with the winner of that one playing Hibs. Or someone else if Hibs win one between now and the end of the regular season. |

Must be favourites now. 1 game left, at home, they win, they go up. Playing a team they've struggled against in the past, but surely they can get across the line... |

A point would do them in all probability. Good. Can't beat derby day, and the build-up, in the town. |

I hope they get back up so we have the derbies back.

Plus, after the Hibs/Hearts result today, it would be nice to have at least one city derby next season... |

There could be an Edinburgh derby in the 1st next season the way Hibs are going. |

I missed this in the Courier a couple of days ago... Dundee FC says there has been “overwhelming” demand for tickets for this weekend’s Championship-deciding game against Dumbarton, with big queues outside Dens Park this morning. Around 50 people lined the car park outside the club shop to make sure they had tickets for the big event. |
