I think my forecasting twattery can easily be forecast. Don't wait for it is my advice.

The Daily Mail, via BBC gossip, report that The Celtics are in for Armstrong.
Can't see it myself. I think his ambitions may be a little higher.

Silly money or f*ck off will be the message from wee Baldy Baws I hope and expect. They have gazillions and should be prepared to give us half.

I had a funny thought - what if nothing goes wrong? What will we do?

McNamara to Porkheid in the summer is my forecast.

Can't see Armstrong going there unless for megabucks that would guarantee them having to play him every week.

The Mail story has nothing whatsoever in it. Cutting to paragraph four ...

Inevitably, however, Dundee United’s crop of talented young players have also caught his eye, with Scotland under-21s captain Armstrong on a list of potential replacements for Welsh international Joe Ledley who is out of contract this summer and no closer to re-signing.

Armstrong, 21, who made his first step into the full Scotland squad for the recent friendly with Norway, signed a new club contract last week which ties him to the Tannadice club until 2016.

A product of the United youth system, the £1million-rated midfielder is well known to former Tannadice manager and newly-appointed Celtic scout Peter Houston.

The biggest of many red flags in there is the "£1m rated". That's a hack picking a number out of his arse to pad out a no-facts story. Realistically, Billy McKinlay went for £1.75m in 1995 so inflation adjusted, that's £2.8m. Pay the fuck up or fuck the fuck off.

Things could start going wrong tomorow if St Mirren win then a heavy defeat from Aberdeen. We have st mirren in the cup so that could see us out of the cup. Is Goodwillie going back to Blackburn now his loan time is up.

Not really, Tom. Results are the symptom of something going wrong, not the cause.

Has something gone wrong to produce the St Mirren 4::1 reverse or was it just a blip on an otherwise successful run?

It's a bit early to be panicking yet. By the sounds of the game it was very much in the balance until the quick double whammy of sending off then goal. In any case, we're always going to lose the odd one in a league as tight as ours and you'd expect the odd blip with a team as young as ours. Might not be a bad time to rest a couple of the younger guys all the same, what with two more games this week. Watson's obviously out and I'd imagine Gauld will be back on the bench for the next game if not both. Those guys waiting in the wings should be keen to step up.

Aye, bit harsh for the bench boys if they can't get a start when we stop playing great.

Unless we lose the next two, things are still going very nicely.

We've got a good squad, our bench is as strong as it's been for years, so now's the time to use it.
