Just watched the Arabzone highlights. Impressive stuff. Some more big scoring wins to come this year I think.

More cause for great optimism. Absolutely destroyed Motherwell away having dominated at Celtic Park in the previous match. These kinds of results and performances will give the guys loads of confidence and hopefully we can see much more of it.

It's not just a good United team now, it's a good United team that are liable to produce some dazzling performances and wonderful football.

Awesome stuff, just been able to enjoy the full version on ArabZone as well.

You'd have to think this could be the most talented group of young Scottish players to develop at the same club since Brown, Riordan, O'Connor, Thomson and Whitaker broke through at Hibs. And (unlike two of the aforementioned) none of them seem likely to p*ss away their talent either.

Worth a mention the impact of Mark Wilson at RB as well, he seems to give a much greater variety of passing and movement than Watson (or Dillon), could easily see him becoming a regular there for the rest of the season.

When was the last time we recorded three 4-0 wins in a season let alone before Christmas?

Three pre-Christmas four nils in the league never been done before but 81-82 and 83-84 featured some big wins.

Last season with three four nil league wins was 85-86:

Top work litljortindan2

BTW that's a ridiculous start to the season in 1983-84 (no league winning hangover there):

1 20.08.1983 Motherwell home W4-0
2 03.09.1983 Dundee away W4-1
3 10.09.1983 Hibernian home W5-0
4 17.09.1983 St Johnstone away W2-1
5 24.09.1983 Aberdeen away W2-1
6 01.10.1983 Rangers home L0-2
7 08.10.1983 Celtic home W2-1
8 22.10.1983 Heart of Midlothian home W1-0
(14 Points, 1st Position)

In the league winning season of 1982-83 we started much slower: (then again with only 2 points for a win, draws weren't as penalising)

1 04.09.1982 Aberdeen home W2-0
2 11.09.1982 Rangers away D0-0
3 18.09.1982 Hibernian away D0-0
4 25.09.1982 St Mirren home W3-0
5 02.10.1982 Celtic home D2-2
6 09.10.1982 Kilmarnock away D1-1
7 16.10.1982 Morton home W6-0
8 23.10.1982 Motherwell away W2-0
(12 Points, 2nd Position)

If you add the end to the 82-83 season onto the start of the 83-84 season, it was an unbelievable run of results.

Mods.

The banning cannon.

Fire it now.
Might not the banning cannon be re-named the "Bannon Cannon" or "Ban on Canon" in honour of wing toff E. J. Bannon-Cannon?
