Dunno what you're talking about Reekie, this is the most exciting United attacking force I've since 1997 at the very least, and most likely since 1988. But for a ropey start while the young boys found their feet (teenagers, pffft) they've been uniformly sensational and Murwell will be take a pumping of the highest order.

Second place by at least half a dozen points by season's end, less than 15 adrift of ra Sellick.

Now - I'm going to attempt to watch the second half of Martyrs, accompanied by only a couple of small Bells. Anyone managed to sit through the whole thing in one sitting? Yeuch!
That's quite some post.

I can agree with you about this year's United team but I daren't say it out loud.

Hope you got to the end of Martyrs, otherwise it might have seemed like a disgusting pointless exploitative torture porn (and porn) ordeal.
Well, it got a little worse and then a lot worse but ultimately I suppose if you absolutely must be flayed alive then you should at least experience some kind of transcendental euphoria, quid pro quo an' that.

I'm wondering if Motherwell are anywhere near that state at the moment?

United hit bar, would've wrapped up the points.

Cue hapless Motherwell comeback, 2-2 final.

Doing a bit too well now. Attracting unwanted attention.

Couple of late Motherwell goals would not go amiss now.

4-0. Robertson smashes one home after having one disallowed and hitting the bar earlier in the game.

Four goals scored for the 5th time already this season. Now, if could just starting putting one win after another...

The one consolation for us after that result is that we are still in 6th place.

We scored 4 or more in at least five league games for all of 1980-1986 but getting so many high scores so early in the season is a first.

Away win. 3 points and 4 goals. GD +12. Wha scored the 2nd goal. BBC and Skyhigh were both crediting Rankin. Radio said it was Paton.

Also best defensive record in the league at 9 goals. Next nearest contenders at 11 and both have played a game less than us.

Equal best goals conceded total for thirteen league games. Last time was 86-87.

That's brought back a painful slow motion memory of Hewitt turning and scoring in the box at Pittodrie not once but twice. That was game 12 of 86-87.
