See the Saintees pulled off quite a win last night. 20 year old goalscorer Stevie May is pictured below:

With such lustrous locks I was amazed to read he's Scottish. Chilean or Argentinian maybe, but a son of Perth, never? :o

Is this the the place to mention Hibs got murdered 0-7 at home to Malmo last night?

That's such a bad result I can't even derive any pleasure from a rival getting humiliated. That result is humiliating for Scottish football, as well as crushing for Hibs.

ETA: I seem to recall we managed to attain the record of worst home defeat in Europe by a Scottish team - does this mean Hibs are now the record holder? Certainly not us any more. I'm starting to enjoy the Hibs result a bit more now.

Not only does he not look Scottish, he looks nothing like a 'Stevie May'. Fool!

7-0 is hilariously depressing. I'm thinking of switching my sporting mood-alterer to snooker, curling or bowls or something. Alternatively, The Arab League Unicorns in the Brechin Partially-Sighted Veteran's Bowls League, who's in? :banjmp:

Yeh, just a p*sser for St Johnstone that they pulled off such an amazing result on the same night Hibs got mauled. No doubt the headlines and twitter chat are only going to focus on one of the results.....

Was that the 0-4 to Arnhem, or was there a worse one than that?

Went to away game that year - lost 1-0 - and thought we would be fine at Tannadice.

Hm. Long, corkscrew hair and the surname "May"?
Anita Dobson better not stumble upon a St Johnstone match any time soon...

Pretty sure I've had her. Remember the digital watch.

Was the previous worst our 7-2 aggregate to Moscow? Meh.

Isn't that guy in Aerosmith?

Thank god for St Johnstone, can you imagine the doom and gloom had Hibs had their result and Saints not gone through? We'd be hearing endlessly about how shit scottish football is. Thankfully, we'll just hear endlessly about how shit Hibs are, which I can live with. :caffine:

At this rate St Johnstone are going to ruin Scottish football's reputation for gross incompetence at European level, just as well we've got the Motherwells of the world to counterbalance their proficiency!

All of which is just an overly florid way to say they beat FC Minsk 1-0 away from Home last night. :o

ETA: Though to be honest I'm probably confusing FC Minsk with Dinamo Minsk (who I've heard of so they must have been vaguely decent at one time), so maybe it's not such a shock win after all...

These days, any away win for a Scottish team in Europe is notable, no matter the opposition.

ETA: Well done Saintees. I hope your European adventure is lengthy, successful and utterly exhausting.

I do like AC Jimbo, but his indulgence of the insufferable Barry Glendenning on the Football Weekly podcast and the generally jaded pisstaking atmosphere he presides over makes that particular thing unlistenable.

Maybe I don't like AC Jimbo.

Anyway, never going to hear a word he says on BT so it's irrelevant.

Perhaps it was Rochelle, Rochelle: A young girl's strange, erotic journey from Milan to Minsk.

(I have nothing of value to add to this board thread.)
