Kudos and the Butcher sign.

Striker and Defender.

3 years and 2 years.

Maybe we could put the logo somewhere that new signings don't have to crouch for their welcome shoot?

Or sign more midgets

Surprised that two of the four trialists have been deemed good enough to warrant multi year deals off the back of a few training sessions and no bounce games. Slight whiff of panic/anything-is-better-than-nothing squad-padding buys, but I hope to be proven wrong.

Alternatively, Jacaramac took one look and thought, "Jeepers! These boys will fit right in".

Maybe, just maybe...

Kudos was apparently at St Johnstone for a little while, but made no impact. Maybe he just needed some game time (Hayes) to get going. Still seems like a padder to me, perhaps offering something impact-wise that Goodroy and Graham don't.

Without having seen either of them play I must say I'm quite happy about this. You'd think they'll both have had a very good schooling at Spurs and Oyenuga scored 18 gls in 40 matches at a decent level last season as a 19 year old.

Just a shame that Oyenuga says in an interview on YouTube that he went to Hayes and Yeading because he wanted to be playing week in week out. By the look of his showreel he's a very similar style to Goodie, so his 1st team chances may be limited in the early part of the season....

I make that 25 plausible starters on the books ...

DF: Watson, Dillon, Gunning, Smith, Barnett, Souttar, Johnston, Butcher, Robertson, McLean

MF: Rankin, Armstrong, Connolly, Paton, GMS, Gauld, Gardyne, Ryan, Millar

CF: Graham, Goodwillie, Oyenuga, Dow, Boulding, Hilson

... yet no left backs whatsoever. Odd.

One of the Queen's Park young chaps is a left back, and the ex-Mirren Carey fella on trial can apparently play left-back. Dillon, Gunning and Watson can also play left back.

Ahem, Jackie speaks:
Quote:

McNamara has had a number of other players on trial, including Graham Carey, who was released by St Mirren.

"There are two areas I would like to strengthen - the centre of defence and possibly left-back, depending on how Graham Carey does," he said.

"Young Andrew Robertson has looked very good in training but he is 19 and ideally I would like two fighting for the position."

Makes sense, we've 3 stikers and plenty attacking midfielders, really just the defence that'll be the one short of numbers with an injury or two.

Very surprising these days to see long contracts for non-league Englishmen. I hope Majanackie knows what he's doing.

Hmmmm....

Quote:

“They cut their budget by 25% so me and Calum both went to play in a showcase game, set up by a football agency. It was for players who had been released or just looking for something else so we gave it a go.

“What then happened is that both Calum and I performed really well and the gaffer was there with (coach) Darren Jackson. The manager said he would take both of us and here we are in Germany with Dundee United."

A showcase game plus a few training sessions it is then.

They're either f*cking solid or Jamacanarama has lost the plot.

Or never had it in the first place? I'm hoping that like Houstie's first signing - Mihajduks - that Boulding and Torstrand aren't indicative of what Jackie thinks constitutes a good player.

Facebook says Ismo Vostermans is on trial.

Google says he could be a dutch defender, recently with VVV-Venlo.
