Hey, I've only just noticed the punchline.

Hearts

the Board of the club continues to be diligent in financial matters

"... continues"!

If you can find a bookie taking odds on Dundee staying up, put your mortgage on it.
Right...
Actually, "put your mortgage on it"? or perhaps stick a pony on it?*
Or neither?

* - assuming you're happy to lose a pony.

Wasn't being literal. For starters, any lender that lets you remortgage to fund a long-odds wager isn't acting all that responsibly. The general rule of: "don't gamble more than you can afford to lose" still stands.

(Anything happening on Hearts, by the way? Haven't heard anything, but don't read the Jock newspapers with any regularity.)

Hearts could maybe appoint this sound character to guide them through this tough time:

Legend.

On a serious note that interview would certainly be fun to watch for fans of blustering bullsh*t....

Okay, so assuming I can afford to lose £50, would this wager be the one to put it on?

Yeah, sure. What the f*ck. Am I your mum or something?

Alright, minty!

I'm not a gambling man usually but your post had the whiff of a 'hot tip' about it.
I was just checking whether you were being genuine or sensational.

Anyway, I'm not going to now. You've put me right off the whole bally idea.

And Hearts staff told "club could go into administration" which would mean an 18 point deduction, taking them to 3 behind Dundee.

You cross them in, I'll nod them into the goal Skel! ;)

Seems like it could be close if that bet on Dundee staying up comes in.

Probably drag things out enough that the points deduction won't happen this season, if at all.

Appears that the SPL say that they dont have enough innformation to be able to punish Hearts based on its own definition of an insolvency event. Bizarre.

Good old SPL and their inability to do anything.
