So, Lance Armstrong has decided against contesting USADA charges of doping. The charges were based on results of tests in 2009 & 2010 as well as testimonies from 10 former teammates and came on the back of recent, detailed allegations in interviews from Floyd Landis and Tyler Hamilton. So is there anybody willing to believe him when he says he was clean when he convincingly won 7 tours in-a-row in the dirtiest era ever in cycling? |

My heart bleeds for him - unable to continue to fight the allegations declaring he is innocent but says he is weary of the "nonsense" accusations. "I refuse to participate in a process that is so one-sided and unfair," ... "There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, 'Enough is enough.' For me, that time is now." When you're guilty as hell and there's loads of evidence against you it can indeed seem a one-sided process. Why won't people stop taking fly kicks at him when he's down? |

Was interesting to hear Paul Kimmage's (Irish journalist and former pro cyclist) radio interview. He stuck his head above the parapet to take on the might of the Armstrong PR and legal juggernaut publicly and has been fairly comprehensively vindicated. |
