It was rather nice, although I don't remember it being that big.

There are a load of decent emulators around for anyone who wants nostalgia witout having to wait for tapes to load.

Yep 48k one at that, interface 2 .. interface 1 + Microdrive and latterly a +3, Your Spectrum / Sinclair bought religiously and countless hours spent with a small screwdriver adjusting cassette head alignments.

I had a Spectrum. No, actually I probably had about a dozen or so, as each one gradually saw its lettering fade before the keys became entirely unresponsive. Fabulously tactile experience, actually, come to think of it, with those rubber keys.

When you think that there was 16k in them, or 48k when expanded, an amazing amount was achieved by their programmers. And some fiendishly addictive games too.

Ah, my almost forgotten youth... :cry:
