Daily Record's got a speculative story regarding a Dixon move to Poland.
Between this and Michael O'Neill, I'm beginning to wonder if it's just a slow news week...

I guess we'll be seeing the same for Pernis, Swanson, Robertson and whoever else is out of contract end of season. Unless we get any of them to sign a contract.

It seems like a depressing time ahead...

Depressing indeed.

To be honest, come the season's end if we lose those four, on top of Gomis, Prince and Conway, then the game's up for me.

I might start going to see Arbroath again, instead. Or a local junior team.

It might push you to the local pub team, but I'm sure there's more than 4 out of contract at the end of the year, but can't remember who.

It's everyone except Daly and Dixon just about. Something's got to give. Either we magic some money from somewhere or else we're heading back to perpetual 9th again (if we're lucky).

:hat:

I think Dow, Hilson, Watson and Russell have all extended to 2013 or 2014. On top of that there's Flood, Rankin and Gunning and I think that's it.

If Pernis continues to make mistakes like the ones he's made in the last two games you'll probably be watching him play at Gayfield Park as well Reekie....

Great. It'll be my personal circle of hell.
No matter how low down the scale I go, he'll always be chucking the ball in the net for my team, until he's reduced to flogging goals for my side at the Pits on a Thursday night.
Gaaaaaaah! Wibble..

Hope not Reekie...

Interesting to note at what point a keeper officially becomes "dodgy", Pernis has consistently been excellent for Utd but after at least 3 glaring errors already this season he's at risk of seriously denting that reputation. How many more shockers will he need before we're not joking about it and actually concerned...

For instance regardless how good Man Utd's David De Gea goes on to be there will always be fans who'll see him as "dodgy" after a few early high profile mistakes in his career at the club. Actually that's almost a separate discussion, can a keeper then shake off the "dodgy" tag?

I do much prefer Lindegaard, De Gea looks a bit too flimsy and ponsey at the moment. Lindegaard just seems to have that solid, dependent "goalkeeper" vibe, much like Pernis had before he discovered Dominos' Two For Tuesday for him and his second stomach.

Aside from two early on, I'm struggling to think of any De Dea mistakes. He has however made a lot of very good saves. I think the dodgy keeper stuff is just trying to make a story out of nothing. All keepers make mistakes, even Schmeichel.

Pernis will come good. All players have bad spells.

Hope so Eggman, the recent mistakes have been so out of character you can only hope they are short term abberations.

As for De Gea, unfortunately at a club like Man Utd you simply aren't allowed to make 2 or 3 high profile mistakes without it putting a question mark on your ability for quite a time. He certainly doesn't command his box yet and it will be interesting to see if that part of his game improves dramatically in the coming years. Craig Gordon is a top class keeper, but the roughing up Stoke City gave him last season under the high ball indicated one possible reason why the likes of Man Utd haven't been clamouring to sign him in recent years.

Agree on De Gea, he looks like a good keeper and still has, what, 12 or so years of development? He could do with adding a fair amount of bulk, though. And not sure that he'll be as good as Manuel Neuer, despite Man U rewriting history in their claim that De Gea was higher up their shopping list than the German.

No idea what is going on with Pernis. Having a shoogly defence in front of him can't be helping.
