We'll be using the hashtag #1ET tomorrow so we'd like to invite everybody on Twitter to do the same.

Odd request.
Also quite blunt in the way it was delivered, ie. ''this is how it's gonna be on twitter fae now on, like it or lump it''

Come on, guys.
Fella just came on to let us know that on match-days they'll be using that hash-tag on Twitter.
Presumably, in case you're following the game on that portal.
Then he invited (note the pleasant tone) anyone else that way inclined to feel free to use it too, so all the relevant posts are easily search-able.
That was all.

I never saw the ''invited'' bit when i read it first, i thought it said ''We'll be using the hashtag #1ET tomorrow so we'd like everybody on Twitter to do the same''
No sure if the guys edited it or not, but well, anyway, i'm not sure how many folk tweet during Utd matches but i've seen a few tweets appearing on BBC live text so will keep an eye our for the #1ET hashtag on there while the pumping of the sheep is in progress :)

Seeing someone make any attempt to properly use twitter and the likes I'm happy with. Sure some of the players can get on board too.

Good idea. I now demand updates from the players on a 5-minutely recurring basis during games, so help me god :piper:

#bigbadjondaly "another double coming up for the craic"
#rustlemania "some cuunt's gettin the fcukin heid shortly..."
#jonrankin "got my squiggle boots on today LOL"
#floodgollum "russell pass us the baw ya wee shoitbag so ye are"

A few Dundee United players are on Twitter. Namely, Sean Dillon, Scott Robertson, Barry Douglas, Johnny Russell, GMS, Stuart Armstrong and even the lesser-spotted Scott Allan.

Gents, normally ArabTRUST use #P2BAA as its hashtag.

It was thought that using a #1ET hashtag just for tomorrow would be a nice wee touch as it will be the third anniversary of the passing of Eddie Thompson.

I thought I'd make people aware and invite others to join in and use it when tweeting about United tomorrow.

I like the way Armstrong signed up then says nothing, just like about 90% of accounts...

Aw, Ivan. That's awfully unfair.
Did you have to change more than your fair share of poopy nappies today?

His 'tweet' from 7 October

Good to be back in glasgow!

He'll enjoy West Bromwich.

Fair enough. I just find the beatification of Thompson rather disproportionate and overly sentimental.

He was a guy with a lot of money who frittered it on the club to no particular effect and oversaw a period of sustained failure. Sad for his family and friends that he died so young but I think his importance in the grand scheme of things tends to be overstated by some people.
