A campaign of missed opperchancities (Spain at home, Czechs home and away) comes to its natural conclusion with yet another final game that is cocksuckingly hard. Predictions, wishes to the lads, sugegsted tactics and such in here. |

I predict a virtual repeat of the final group game v Brazil in 1990 when a half-interested big team went through the motions and were gifted a solitary goal that put the stuffy, unambitious and hapless Scots out. The Czechs are pretty crap, but I'd expect them to get the point they need. |

If Scotland lose and the Czechs draw, will Scotland go out on goal difference? Assuming yes, that's my prediction. |

We'll lose, they won't lose, we're out. Sure it'll be close, maybe 2-0, but when they get that goal in the first half, all will be lost. |

It's decided on head-to-head, so Scotland would be out even if goal difference was in our favour. |

We'll draw 1-1 in a miraculous performance, and some Czech clogger will score a 30-year winner in the last minute to eliminate us. |

I'm positive that we'll lose 2-0 and the Czechs will get what they need to go through. They're better than us by miles and deserve to. |

Steady. The Czechs are not better than us by miles. Spain are better than us by miles. I'm quietly optimistic. Not of our result necessarily, but of results overall going our way. So there. |

The Czech Republic are rubbish. That's what's annoying about the strong possibility that we will finish behind them. For all of the chat about it being "out of our hands", the likelihood of a defeat to the Spanish removes that. |

I'm done taking notice with blatant pish from Zico; it's simple attention-seeking. I'm not overly optimistic about the Czechs losing (which is what we need, really), but it's not close to out of the question. They're not very good, are they? |

Lithuania doing us a turn is certainly our best bet. I'm going for Spain's 4th goal in the 93rd minute and then a 94rd minute Mikoliunus dive and conversion winner, his name forever going down in Scottish footballing folklore rather than infamy!

It certainly is our best hope. In our wildest dreams we may snatch an improbable draw, and we're still relying on Lithuania doing something decent. We have to hope the Czechs freeze. |

It's going to be an odd night. We'll be watching Scotland and realistically the game will almost certainly mean very little...BBC should be televising the game that will matter to us in Lithuania. But that would be bizarre in itself while Scotland are playing. I'm sure they'll keep us up to date but if the Lithuania -Czech game is on Eurosport or something I'll be watching that instead. And occasionally flicking back to admire Spain's football I guess. |

What's really getting on my pip is that if it weren't for that ridiculous last minute penalty at Hampden Scotland would already be in the play-offs... |
