So, the Dandy Dons are currently three goals to the good against McIntyre (90)'s Pars.

No crowd number as yet, but do we think this is an innovation that will fire the imagination and support of the fans?

I'm inclined to say, 'Yes'.

I quite like the idea of finishing the working week, having your tea and a couple of pints and then starting your weekend with an evening game. I mean, who doesn't enjoy a match under the floodlights?
Perhaps logistically it'll need to be a bit cute; I propose only teams close to each other get to do it.
Tonight's pairing is a bad idea, for example. I can't see many Fifers being able to get up the road after work but, hey, small steps...
Plus, I presume it'll be an OF-free zone, so the other ten may well embrace the exclusivity of it.

Thoughts?

While I agree, Yasser, it's surely preferable to half-twelve on a Sunday?

edit - I'm sure the Dons love it. It's now 4-0!

I presumed it would have been on tv, but no matter.

Can't say I'd be so keen on United home games at that time personally, but may aswell try and see how it goes.

Worth a roll of the dice for shits and gigglez. Location-dependent.

I like that idea, but crowds wouldn't be very good. A long working week and guys wanting to go out on the pull. And like you said, the travelling.

I football every day of the week. It's great on a Monday night; something to look forward to.

Police don't want derby matches because Friday nights are a bit of a bloodbath already. You're not going to get the crowds you do at other times of the week. In fact, have you ever tried getting ten guys together for five-a-sides on a Friday evening? Friday is not a football day.

Only 8333 there last night. I can't imagine there was many pars fans there last night though i never saw the match.

Not a great crowd for Aberdeen but crowds might go up for the sheep if they have more 4-0 results.
Aberdeen are only a point behind us now so we must win today.

Double what they had for East Fife the other week. 8000 is about average for the Shaggers now, no?

It's all well and good having these ideas to boost interest/tv audiences for ESPN/SKY but surely it's only fair that they tell the Away team about the match? :haha:

I'll get my coat....
