Thought the ref got most of the major decisions correct, sadly.
Having seen the penalty replays, the defender does get a nick on the ball. So yeah, no penalty, but Swanson didn't dive. McGregor should've been booked for timewasting.

:fisted:

I wonder if the ref saw the touch and therefore concluded Swason must have dived?

And then off for feigning injury when caught outside the box? The bawbag.

I thought we played very well today. Swanson's looked like a penalty from where I was sitting and he had certainly beaten his man so if he did dive then he's an arse. Russell moved marginally towards Clubfoot (after that massive c*nt had dived again) and it was threatening but it wasn't much of a headbutt. Going by Clubfoot's obvious inability sto withstand the merest touch I suspect his head would have exploded if he'd actually been butted. I understand that TV suggests that Russell had to go and Houston has accepted as such so .. y'know ... fucking Clubfoot.

A very intense attacking performance and they were hanging on at the end. Rangers are absolutely shite. Reminded me of Hamilton for long spells. No doubt they'll finish top two but they look like a team which should be bumbling around the bottom half of the table.

I don't think a touch on the ball would have stopped it being a penalty. The direction of the ball didn't change perceptibly and Swanson was still through on goal if he wasn't brought down. He probably did dive though. He likes a dive does Danny. I wish he'd stop it.

I think most refs, if they did see that touch, even if marginal, wouldn't give a penalty even if the player was then clearly clattered (just to wind up Findud, you understand).

If Swanson were to still get the ball, he'd have had to have hurdled the orc's leg.

Well, when he arrived he was heralded as the replacement for Barry Robson so he seems to have adopted one of old Barry's less endearing traits... :fisted: (Just realised this smiley is called "fisted".... )

Excellent performance from Kenneth today though.

Why would that wind me up? :ermm:

Oh, gotcha... you're talking about my beef with a foulnever being called when a player gets clattered shortly after winning a footrace to get his cross in, or when a player gets clattered shortly after getting a shot away. A foul and possible yellow card anywhere else on the pitch.

I wonder what video replay challenges would make of that ;)

Thought that we played well and could have easily got a point. Plenty chances, and that was even after lost Russell. Stupid for getting the red card, it's so easy for them when we do that. Although it wasn't like we really missed much, as the first few minutes, Russell didn't do much, and seemed to be happy drifting into positions no-one could pass to him at.

OVerall, most players played well. Despite reservations, Kenneth and Gunning did well, Would have been different story vs Jelavic who likely would have run rings around them, but they did well. Dixon not good going forward, but fine aside from not stopping the cross at the goal, as was Watson.

Midfield worked very hard and did a good job. Swanson obviously makes a difference in being able to pass thought the middle, but Robertson played as well as he's done for a long time, getting forward and good passing, while Rankin fitted in nicely. Flood was again as good as he's played for a while. Just wish we'd had retained the width to really make the most of all the good midfield play.

Valla Dalle seemed to be generally half a second behind here he needed to be. Think he's a penalty box striker rather than lone running hold the ball up front man.

Dow did well when came on, pace and direct was what we needed.

A few poor calls from the ref, the McGregor time wasting was so obvious that it was pathetic, get clearly knew he was above being booked. Not seen the penalty claim, but the red card was right in front of me and was a clear red.

Next week will be a nice time to compare and contrast the performances vs Inverness.

Overall, same as usual vs Rangers.

Alas, it looks a dive to me by Swanson.

Broadfoot, I thought, dived. Russell was livid at him, made the pishest headbutt motion to him and, I suppose, correctly sent off. I'd have given the free-kick to United on account of the dive, but it went to Rangers which suggests the ref thought old Egg-pus was tripped, and so I don't know why he booked him.

In th credit column, Rangers are absolute mince. I don't remember such an inept collection of nonces arriving at Tannadice previously declaring to be The People. That they were given a bit of a runaround by a boy just going into fourth year at Harris Academy playing up front on his own says it all. Bocanegra - pish. Ortiz - total pish. McKay - not good enough for Brisbane Roar. Get yer money on Sellick for the league.

So I'm watching this hours after everyone else, and I just heard Houston confirm that Russell is a silly boy and "you don't put your face in somebody else's face on a football pitch. Leave that for somewhere else". I'm beginning to understand why we've got a criminal defence lawyer as a permanent member of staff.

Penalty on bbc highlights looks like it's not a penalty really, but have been given previously, so guess could claim that it wasn't a total dive.
