What really upsets me when the gruesome twosome come to town is their gloating tone; the silly songs don't move me either way.
I'm not sure even Holyrood would pass a law banning gloating. But we could always try.

Dillon's out. Calf strain.
Bums.
That's okay, I think. Watson's almost as good at full back and it looks like we're lumbered with Gunning alongside Kenneth at centre half for the time being.

Lumbered? Kenneth hasn't been great so far I'll grant, buy Gunning's been very good.

Incidentally, we're going to get thrashed. This will be a bad season - mark my words.

To that end, I'm only going to attend easy guaranteed wins near my house, and so I look forward to our game at Airdrie in a couple of weeks and pray for us drawing Queens Park in the Scottish.

Actually, it was Gunning I was referring to. Decent enough player but he looks to have the same faults as Kenneth without being as good a defender. I'd be happier with a more mature head in there alongside one of the budding Baresis.

I'm busy. Can anyone summarise that, or point me towards a summary written by someone uninfected by Sauchiehall Fever?

By the way, Hari Bela Fonte scored for Finland U21s in midweek. That's a thing, undeniably.

That was what I was getting at.
I really hoped we'd play Watson, with Dillon partnering one of the young bucks.
It's a pretty raw backline with not much protection in front of it.
Could make for a long early afternoon...

I agree, however I suspect we'd have played Dillon at right back so it's not such a loss.

Bain seeks damages/compensation of around 1m.

Some interesting detail of how that is calculated, including how often Bain got a big pay rise.

Then Bain details Rangers' financial woes and Whyte's failings in resolving them, concluding that it is likely his claims for compensation would be defeated by the insolvency of RFC.

Main points:

£136m assets of Ibrox and Murray Park are wildly overvalued and only realizable through insolvency. No estimate for firesale value of assets.
£65m liabilities indicates apparently healthy balance sheet, yet club sold my Murray for £1
£18m debt being pursued by the bank
HMRC claim for £49m due to be resolved in Nov 2011. RFC insolvent if HMRC win substantial part of this claim.
Whyte on record stating he will let the club go under if >£15m HMRC award.
Whyte ringfencing season ticket money to a London Finance Co.
Whyte/RFC not paying suppliers or promised cash injection to team and club.

It's interesting, but depends if it's true or not, I've no idea. It covers most of the rumour mentioned. Would be fun if it was true, but as ever, they've been on the verge of administration for years...

They don't seem to like paying anyone though, I think whatever the price, we were wise not to sell to them for anything other than up front cash for goodwillie.

Oooh, Flodd 20 yarder skips past the post after a deflection, McGregor stranded.

Not a bad start.

Thanks, Wassa. Not entirely sure how all that would help Bain's case, which by memory is: "this business is f*cked and it was me what f*cked it. Give me money for getting sacked".

As to the game, we have as good a hope as ever of winning but, if we lose then, hey ho, it's Rangers. Wha'eva.
