Not sure what ketamine has to do with it, but if Naebs's contributions are anything to go by, I'll give it a miss. |

Fair point, however, that may have left us with Clangers in goal at times, so until Gordon is fit again I'd say "you don't sing if you want, Allan". |

McGregor's an arse of course and I'm glad I don't read the tabloids but he's mostly been excellent for Scotland. I would say we're extremely lucky to have McGregor as a back-up/long term replacement to Gordon in what is a vital position. Often when we play internationals our players appear to be inferior to opposing nations in many areas of the pitch, but looking at the standard of International goalkeeping amongst the middle ranked nations (the Czech back-up keeper's attempted save on Saturday immediately springs to mind) I would say we're very well off, and will be for years to come. Now bring on the 11 page thread discussing each and every middle ranking country's keeper, I'm ready and armed with the ability to google them to back up my opinion with facts....

Awww, don't be like that. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, honestly. Or yours, Findus. Forgive me? |

Eggy your going all soft. Think back to the early days at the old place, picking fights with everybody and never a sign of an apology.

To be fair to Eggy, I think he was a student back then, destined to right all the wrongs of the world ten Arabian threads and thirty wrong Arabian posters at a time

That video analysis thread was thoroughly cathartic actually Eggs, having all those thoughts about it rattling around in the old brainbox over the years isn't much use when you can't let it all out, so should be thanking you really. Though I'm still bristling a little from the dig about not watching much tennis....I've watched far too much of Andy Murray in recent years, thank you very much.

I should clarify the fist shaking is not at the perceived slight but instead at the Scottish tennis fan's fate for having a player like Andy Murray to support. Wipes the floor with 90% of his opponents then more often than not completely underperforms to lose to the 1st world class player he meets in a grand slam. At least Henman had the decency to make it look bloody difficult to reach the semis of a grand slam. |

I think that Bannan to Nae Smith is the new hope of Scottish football. Finally two c*nts that can put together an intelligent piece of play, and who are on the same page. You can have all the "talent" you want in a team but unless a couple of them are on the same page, you're going to get f*ck all done, there's often just not enough time for them all to gel on international breaks. So thank f*ck for the pair of them, and Bannan for Brown any day and every day. |

Fair shout roamer, I'd forgotten about that match, but even when he wins in 5 sets he often does so in relative ease in the later stages when he gets his act together. |

it looked like it was going that way, he won the 4th 6-0 and went 4-0 up in the decider. but then some of the shots haase made on route to levelling at 4-4 were nothing short of breathtaking, and if he'd held serve there was every chance of him going through. anyway back to the football. we've got barry barry barry barry bannan on the wing, on the wing
