Not being in the way of AGMs and the like, as are many Arabs, and of a pernickety nature, would it be better to add a hyphen in "extraordinary" to help convey the fact that it's in addition to the ordinary meetings, rather than raise hopes/suspicions that something incredible may or may have occurred?

No.
That you defending ArabTRUST, Naebs?

Anyway - Yes. Extra-ordinary is much clearer to the average punter on messageboards who doesn't really know what they're talking about. Which is ArabTRUST's target audience - not folk like you who bluff a bit of knowledge.

I agree with that. When I saw 'extraordinary' general meeting, I thought 'ah, f*ck, what's bollocksed now'.

f*ck you, Charlie big potatoes.

Extraordinary means not ordinary. Extra-ordinary means very ordinary. They're opposites. Even those unfamiliar with the lingo should grasp why it's not ideal to characterise an emergency vote a mundane event.

Acht, I'm prepared to let you have this one Naebody, seeing as I'm in a jolly end-of-week mood. Whether you're right or not is completely immaterial.

No, you're welcome.

ETA: It's already caused the predicted confusion on East Football.

How about 'Additional General Meeting'.

Extraordinary's a stupid word, anyway. And why do flammable and inflammable exist? Now, vulnerable and invulnerable are opposites, but flammable and inflammable aren't.
