He's clearly a tit, and is being made an example of, but still seems way way over the top and a touch fascist.

One thing's for sure, he looks the type.

Bloke has a quiet pint in a pub then leaves to go home. Out in the street he is assaulted knocked to the ground and kicked in the head in a totally random attack. His assailant gets arrested and after being found guilty gets 30 days in Perth prison.
What team did the assailant support? It's important.

I dunno, Dundee, Dundee United, Achenshoogle Rovers...why is it important? It was a random assault, nothing to do with football.

Eight months for posting pish on SpaceFace?

Should people be jailed for saying stupid things, or is this more serious?

I bet the guy who put up a page inciting riots in Dundee is crapping himself now.
The boys in Dundee who wanted a riot got 3 years.

Silly boys learned their lesson now.

Passing sentence, Sheriff Munro said: "I have thought long and hard about this case.

"A total of 221 people said they would attend the riot event in Dundee - and what made your actions particularly serious was that you both referred to weapons, and Mr McGinley you referred to guns.

"This is one of the worst breaches of the peace that I have ever had to deal with."
One. That. Didn't. Actually. Happen.

Hm.

The peace wasn't broken. So the judge has never seen a breach of the peace?

It does seem incredibly harsh punishment for a provocative Faceboak group. The guys seem like right tossers, with "previous criminal charges", but these are probably unlikely to be anything serious or there would have been more reported than just the one breach of the peace. There's a lot between saying something and doing something. I thought charging somebody with something they evidently didn't do would be illegal?

I'm starting to think of the legend "twat" under your avatar as an accusation rather than a confession. Especially when you address Thed.

Some thing along the lines of:

"I wouldn't be surpris..."?

If you think that was a sentence, your grammar credentials are well and truly buggered.
